In the Teatro of the Italian-themed area at Europa-Park, an emotional and high-energy show took place on Friday, captivating the audience with impressive performances and goosebump moments. Participants in the Broadway Dreams Camp presented alongside famous Broadway Dreams celebrities from New York what they had learned in a one-week intensive musical theater course at the TALENT ACADEMY Europa-Park. In front of hundreds of spectators, emerging talents and professionals delivered remarkable feats.
Show Highlights and Audience Reactions
The show featured a blend of emotional acting along with impressive dance and singing segments that convinced the audience. The enthusiasm was palpable and culminated in prolonged final applause as well as standing ovations. Numerous producers and industry professionals from the international entertainment world were present to discover new talents.
Awards and Celebration
For his exceptional artistic performance, Hennes Gutmair from Herbolzheim received the coveted scholarship. Hennes, who has been a member of the TALENT ACADEMY for numerous years, will travel in November to a showcase on Broadway in New York. Only the best talents from all Broadway Dreams Camps worldwide are nominated for this. Both the artists and the audience were rewarded at the subsequent after-show party in the bar “Colosseo,” where they celebrated the successful event extensively in a unique ambiance.
Participants and Internationality
The nearly 70 participants, aged 10 to 42, came from throughout Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Spain, France, the United Kingdom, the USA, Scotland, and Brazil. They took time off from their jobs - such as police officer or restaurant owner - or made the most of school and semester breaks. Among the over 55 camps of the Broadway Dreams Foundation worldwide, the one at the TALENT ACADEMY is considered an insider tip.
Cooperation and Camp Program
The cooperation with the Broadway Dreams Foundation has existed since 2018, thanks to the founder and director of the TALENT ACADEMY, Katja Mack. From August 16 to 22, the children, teenagers, and adults participated in numerous workshops, auditions, and special coaching sessions with real luminaries from show business. The Broadway coaches accompanied the participants throughout the entire camp as personal mentors to provide them with new impulses and to promote and expand their talent.
Outlook for the Coming Year
In the coming year, the Broadway Dreams Camp will take place again at the TALENT ACADEMY Europa-Park.
