Europa-Park and Sélestat Celebrate 25 Years of Partnership at Corso Fleuri

Europa-Park and the French city of Sélestat celebrated their 25-year partnership as well as the theme park's 50th anniversary at the traditional Corso Fleuri. Under the motto "Celebrating Under the Stars," twelve impressive wagons adorned with dahlias paraded through the streets, highlighting the longstanding collaboration. The event, a summer highlight in Alsace, included musical performances, folklore shows, and street animations alongside the flower parade.

Focus on Anniversary Celebrations

The Corso Fleuri offered visitors the chance to experience the 50th anniversary of Europa-Park. A photo point for the film "GRAND PRIX OF EUROPE" invited guests to pose, while attendees could try out the VR experience YULLBE GO. These elements emphasized the festivities surrounding Germany's largest theme park.

Iconic Elements on the Wagons

The impressive wagons showcased iconic elements from Europa-Park. Among them were the lighthouse from the adventure hotel "Bell Rock," the sea serpent Svalgur and Snorri from the water park Rulantica, as well as the roller coaster "Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac." Other attractions like the family rides "Piraten in Batavia" and "Madame Freudenreich Curiosités," along with the character Ed Euromaus, were thematically represented. A very special wagon was dedicated to the park's 50th anniversary.

Magical Evening Parade

During the second parade in the evening, the wagons glowed brightly and created a special atmosphere. The flower parade was accompanied by numerous artists from Europa-Park, who provided additional entertainment.

Gratitude and Honors

The Mack family was thrilled by the lovingly and elaborately decorated flower wagons. They thanked Mayor Marcel Bauer and the city of Sélestat for the years of collaboration, which serves as a great symbol of friendship across borders. Roland and Jürgen Mack have held the title of honorary citizens of Sélestat since 2011, the highest honor a municipality can bestow.
