On September 14, 2025, Europa-Park, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Integration of Baden-Württemberg, invited more than 300 people to a special action day. This event marked the end of the summer holidays and offered families with the State Family Pass the opportunity to visit Germany's largest theme park. Families from various associations participated and enjoyed a day full of experiences.
Tradition of the Action Day
The action day has a long tradition at Europa-Park. It has taken place annually since 2009 and serves as a fixed part of the program. This year, the park, together with the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Integration of Baden-Württemberg, welcomed numerous families for whom such an outing is not a given.
Greeting by Mauritia Mack
Mauritia Mack, a representative of Europa-Park, warmly welcomed the guests at the start of their visit. She said, “Europa-Park has been a place of joy, diversity, and encounters for 50 years. I am all the more pleased that, together with the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Integration of Baden-Württemberg, we can welcome families this year as well, for whom a day in our park is not a matter of course. With this action day, we want to honor voluntary commitment and give unforgettable moments.”
Statement by Dr. Ute Leidig
Dr. Ute Leidig, state secretary in the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Integration, emphasized the importance of families. She stressed, “This day is dedicated to the families. They are the heart of our society. Their needs and challenges deserve our full attention, because strong families are important for a resilient and future-proof society.”
Additional Attention for Families
The participating families with the State Family Pass received additional attention. Upon presentation of their voucher, children and adults received an EMOTIONS gift card worth 5 euros. This card made the stay in the 17 European themed areas of Europa-Park even more carefree.
