On June 14, fans of theme park music had a special evening. In the sold-out Großer Sendesaal of the NDR in Hannover, numerous soundtracks from Europa-Park and other German amusement and theme parks were heard for the first time in an orchestral and choral arrangement. The Sinfonieorchester Hannover and the choir of Leibniz University Hannover brought these different musical worlds together – worlds that normally captivate guests in the parks in their own unique way.
The concert had a particularly close connection to the Europa-Park Erlebnis-Resort and MACK One. All the pieces were composed by Sebastian Kübler and Andreas Kübler. Back in 2009, Europa-Park commissioned the two brothers to create the soundtrack for the roller coaster “blue fire Megacoaster”. Today Sebastian Kübler works as Lead Composer at 2112 STUDIOS, MACK One’s in-house music studio. That’s where the music for Europa-Park is created, including for the new Monaco themed area, as well as for many other entertainment projects.
After the concert, Sebastian Kübler said with pride: “I am proud that this concert has built a bridge between our long-standing compositional work and the current musical development within the industry. The evening impressively demonstrated the importance that music holds in entertainment: It not only accompanies experiences but shapes memories and creates emotional identity.”
This live interpretation of the compositions once again showed just how strongly the music shapes the overall experience at Europa-Park and leaves lasting memories with its guests.
