From Long Lost to Massive Construction Site! New Paramount Attraction Rising at Movie Park Germany

Movie Park Germany fans, the wait is finally over – “The Lost Temple” is transforming into pure Hollywood magic once again! Yesterday the official Movie Park Germany YouTube channel dropped the very first episode of its brand-new “Baudoku” series: “Lange Lost – Jetzt Großbaustelle!” gives the first stunning on-site look at the construction of the new exclusive Paramount-licensed attraction – the centerpiece of the park’s 30th anniversary celebrations in 2026.

Right in front of the huge, already prefabricated façade elements stands project manager Yuri from P&P Projects in Someren, Netherlands. The company that started 35 years ago with one man building miniature space models and now employs 75 people worldwide is a proven specialist for scenic work in theme parks, museums and cruise ships. They already created the impressive King Kong at the end of the park’s Studio Tour. “It’s big, very natural and really needs to pop – that’s the final scene,” Yuri recalls with obvious pride.

The current challenge is even bigger: “Time. But as professionals that’s not a problem,” he laughs when asked about the toughest part. The first weatherproof outdoor façades are already towering in front of the camera – six meters high and 60 meters wide in total, modeled precisely after the real Paramount Studios architecture in Hollywood: grand arches, delicate columns, golden accents. “The biggest things are the façades we’re standing in front of right now,” explains the project lead. Because it’s a licensed attraction there are more approval rounds with the park and the rights holders, but creativity remains fully intact. Inspiration comes from real historic places, architecture, movies and games.

Demolition of old rides always brings surprises: “When you tear down 20- or 30-year-old structures you always find surprises because the drawings are no longer up to date.” Exactly like during the Studio Tour, when they suddenly discovered the old Bugs Bunny animatronic from the former Looney Tunes attraction behind a wall – “in the pit, with laughter,” Yuri chuckles.

The video doesn’t just tour the dusty construction site with excavators, rubble piles and the vast excavation pit, but also takes viewers inside the workshop in Someren. Passionate teams work on wood, steel, paint and lovingly detailed 1:50 scale models – everything crafted for a truly immersive “real” Hollywood experience that guests will soon enjoy firsthand. “The best part is seeing it finally standing on location and knowing the visitors are going to love it,” says Yuri enthusiastically.

At the end he even shares a personal dream: “I would love to do a dark ride for you guys – whether IP-based or an original story. It would fit perfectly in the park and with what we love to create.”

With this first Baudoku episode the official construction documentary series has launched – and fans can look forward to many more behind-the-scenes updates. The new Paramount highlight is taking shape. Hollywood in Germany is about to become even bigger, even more immersive and even more spectacular in 2026.
