Movie Park Germany Celebrates 30 Years with New Paramount Attraction

The curtain is rising on this year's ultimate blockbuster! Movie Park Germany is marking its 30th anniversary as "Hollywood in Germany" with a real cinematic feast: a fresh Paramount attraction, a spectacular anniversary parade, more PAW Patrol characters, and events that turn the whole season into pure movie magic for thrill-seekers, families, and anyone drawn to the glamour of the silver screen.

The big thrill for action fans hits in mid-May with the new immersive tunnel attraction "Journey to the Forbidden Chamber," replacing "The Lost Temple" and casting guests as extras in a major film production. They move from set to set through realistic film setups, props, and show elements, diving right into the world of the iconic Paramount Pictures. This one-of-a-kind fictional adventure, crafted just for the park, is loaded with action and suspense. The expert team at P&P Projects handles the authentic theming and build-out. The tied-in film was filmed back in November at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles.

Four-legged family fun rolls in this summer: Movie Park Germany becomes the first park anywhere to offer seven PAW Patrol characters total. Zuma, Rocky, and Everest join Chase, Marshall, Rubble, and Skye. These fan-favorite heroes aren't just for personal meet-and-greets—they'll weave deeper into the entertainment lineup. Their signature vehicles turn up as new photo spots in Adventure Bay, adding to the existing rides like "PAW Patrol Adventure Tour," "Zuma's Zoomers," and "Skye's High Flyer." Nickelodeon LAND gets its own street show too, with fresh parade floats spotlighting Chase, Marshall, SpongeBob, and Patrick.

The film-clapper crew gets some female backup: Next to the well-known S.A.M., the new character S.I.A. shows up for meet-and-greets at season start and will pop up in the park's media content down the line.

The anniversary peak comes on July 4 with the debut of "Movie Park's Parade of Celebration." This roughly 20-minute parade dazzles with all-new floats, lively choreography, glamorous Hollywood outfits, and a brand-new IMAscore soundtrack featuring live vocals. Belgian firm Kabuki directs the show, while the floats and costumes come from Full Stop Productions and Costume Studio in the USA. On July 25 plus August 1, 8, and 15, the park stays open till 8 p.m. for "Summer Nights" with live music and special food options.

"The 30th anniversary of Movie Park Germany is a significant milestone. That naturally calls for a proper celebration! Throughout the season, families and fans of film and theme parks can look forward to special surprises that will celebrate the big birthday in style. At the same time, we are pursuing a clear vision for the park's future and continuing to expand our offerings for the whole family," says Managing Director Thorsten Backhaus. Director of Marketing & Sales Manuel Prossotowicz adds: "We are very proud of what we have achieved in recent years. Movie Park Germany is shaped by an eventful history. We developed the park with a clear vision, through teamwork, and with passion, building it specifically around its film identity. For our 30th anniversary, we want to give back to our guests with many small and large surprises."

The anniversary season keeps the Hollywood vibe going strong all year. The Halloween Horror Festival rolls out a new maze and over 280 monsters. "Movie Park's Hollywood Christmas" shines with more than a million lights. Three fresh shows—"Black Thunder" in the Saloon, "Frequency" in Van Helsing's Club, and "Turn Back Time" on the New York Plaza Stage"—along with a new magic show from illusionist Christian Farla boost the entertainment. Tried-and-true special events like the ELITE Cheerleading Championship, Camera Day, and US Car Show wrap things up nicely.
