The einfach helfen e.V. association, with its chairperson Mauritia Mack, and the Rheinauen Nature Center of the municipality of Rust invited guests on Sunday for the 14th time to an autumn family festival. The grounds around the nature center, featuring an observation tower, climate-change garden, and Allmendsee, transformed into a colorful backdrop with activities, music, and autumn delights, thanks to the support of Europa-Park.
Highlight of the Festival
A highlight was the joint apple pressing with Jürgen Mack, owner of
Europa-Park, chairperson Mauritia Mack, and Mayor Kai-Achim Klare. Together, they pressed fresh, sweet apple juice. In his speech, Mayor Klare praised the excellent cooperation between the association, nature center, and municipality, emphasizing that only together can such beautiful days be made possible for the entire region.
Musical Entertainment
The Rust Music Band, under the direction of conductor Andreas Vetter, provided the musical entertainment. Guests enjoyed the extensive repertoire, which ensured a great atmosphere on the grounds around the Rheinauen Nature Center.
Creative Hands-On Activities
In the nature workshop, children carved funny pumpkin faces and designed colorful stones with creative templates. At the face-painting station, they could transform themselves, while the balloon competition offered numerous prizes.
Special Insights
Additionally, this year the neighboring Falkenhof, run by Tanja Beisert, opened its doors. Visitors gained insights into working with birds of prey.
Culinary Offerings
Numerous volunteer helpers and members of the einfach helfen e.V. association were delighted by the strong attendance. They offered visitors a wide culinary selection, including homemade cakes and donations from the Kinzig Valley as well as from the Käufer Bakery in Ettenheim, which richly stocked the cake buffet.
The Association's Work
The einfach helfen e.V. association used the autumn festival to draw attention to its work. Since 2008, it has supported people in the region who have fallen into distress due to serious illness, doing so without bureaucracy and quickly thanks to donations from the population. Thus, the festival in its 14th edition became a successful interplay of entertainment, encounters, and solidarity that will be fondly remembered by visitors and organizers alike.
