Disney Princess Cavalcade Debuts July 24 at Disney Adventure World

What if the Disney princesses stopped waving from a float and pulled you into the adventure with them? That is the idea starting July 24, 2026, at Disney Adventure World. The Disney Princess® Cavalcade rolls along the shores of Adventure Bay — less a classic parade than a shared adventure that runs several times a day, year-round.

Only four months after World of Frozen opened and new experiences arrived in Disneyland® Paris's second park, the next big fan moment is already here. Rapunzel, Moana, Raya and Tiana — princesses who lead with guts and grit — ride majestic floats, each one celebrating that character's world. The route is clear and spectacular: it begins in front of what will become the immersive world of The Lion King, heads toward The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, then loops back to the starting point. If you have ever stood at Adventure Bay, you know that backdrop was waiting for something like this.

Halfway through, the experience turns personal. The princesses step off the floats and show their most iconic adventurer moves. Moana teaches steps inspired by traditional Pacific Island dance. Raya demos martial arts moves. Adventure companions pull selected guests into the middle of it — shared choreography, real emotion. Those are the moments that stick. Behind it all sits a year and a half of development and no fewer than 287 rehearsal hours. This was not slapped onto the route overnight.

The floats and costumes keep the movies going without copying them. Creative teams drew on the original animated films, plus architecture and traditions from the countries that shape these worlds. Costumes and their matching color palettes were designed by the Disneyland® Paris creative costume team and made in France. The floats were built by a street-art company out of Nice. Guests step into Motunui for Moana, the Heart Palace for Raya, the festive streets of New Orleans for Tiana, and The Snuggly Duckling tavern for Rapunzel. Riding along: Heihei, Pua, Tuk Tuk, Ray and Pascal — the beloved sidekicks who accompany Moana, Raya, Tiana and Rapunzel.

The detail work almost shows off. Craftspeople handcrafted, frayed and sewed 120 meters of fringe for Moana's kites. 900 fabric pieces adorn the manes of Raya's dragons. 24 hand-carved and hand-painted feathers decorate the staff of Tiana's companion. 13 carved ducks ornament Rapunzel's float. These are craft numbers that prove someone cared about every inch.

Music sets the tempo. Two brand-new original songs — written specifically for the cavalcade and recorded between Nashville and Paris by around 50 musicians — pick up iconic Disney princess themes and deliver infectious energy and encouraging lyrics. When the Disney Princess® Cavalcade starts, the Disney Marching Band's run under Minnie Mouse wraps up. Minnie is getting a new Victorian-style outfit, and she can occasionally appear at the West Pavilion for exclusive meet-and-greets with guests. Parade fans who miss Minnie still have a shot — just in a different format.
