Europa-Park Donations Fund New School in Kenya

In December 2024, a film presentation by Reiner Meutsch at Europa-Park raised 22,000 euros in donations. These funds enabled the opening of a junior secondary school in Kombani, Kenya, which includes two classrooms and allows around 60 children to continue their schooling beyond sixth grade.

Reiner Meutsch, a radio host and founder of the Reiner Meutsch Foundation FLY & HELP, gave an impressive account to the audience about his FLY & HELP world flight and the work of his foundation. The donations collected went directly toward building the new school facility.

In the rapidly growing village of Kombani near Kwale, the county headquarters, only Qur’anic schools existed until 2019. Since around 80 percent of Kenya’s population is Christian, this form of schooling was not an option for many families. With support from the Reiner Meutsch Foundation FLY & HELP, a primary school was established in 2019 to provide all children with access to education. The new junior secondary school now enables students to continue their education beyond primary level.

The foundation aims to give children a better future through education. The partnership between the foundation and Europa-Park has existed for many years.

Reiner Meutsch, a longtime friend of the Mack family, was honored last year for his exceptional humanitarian commitment with a handprint on the “Wall of Fame” at Germany’s largest theme park.
