Europa-Park Summer Night Party: 15 hours until midnight

Europa-Park stays open from 9 a.m. to midnight Saturday, Aug. 22, for the second Summer Night Party. That night is included in the regular admission ticket: more than 100 attractions, live music, entertainment and special activities. Fifteen hours, from King of Pop tribute hits to a Silent Disco and a goodbye at 11 p.m.

Live music is scattered through the European themed areas. In the Italian themed area, a Michael Jackson tribute band plays the King of Pop’s greatest hits from 9 p.m. Annick Burger is in the French themed area, Brendan Keeley in Ireland, and Virgilio Genovese and the EP Talent Academy in Italy. In the German themed area, the Scheewälder Spitzbuabe play from 4 p.m. in the beer garden and Ive & T. Bo from 6 p.m. at the Rock Café. In Austria, Günter Vogelmann starts at 4 p.m. in the wheat beer garden. The illuminated drum group Moz Drums moves through the entire park.

The Silent Disco on Mario-Botta-Platz runs from 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Guests can borrow headphones and choose among three music channels while three live DJs mix Made-in-Germany Hits, Silent Disco Classics and Electro. Lounge furniture and food and drink are on hand if you want a breather. In the Croatian themed area, a big DJ party runs from 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. with DJs from the TALENT ACADEMY and, from 8 p.m., the DJ duo SILVA & MYLES.

Families get extra programming too. “Ed and Edda’s Kids Action” is in Austria from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the lawn by the Tirol Log Flume, with five themed bounce houses and a parent lounge for playing and relaxing. From 6 p.m., Fairytale Forest turns into an enchanted forest with special Walking Acts, live music, handpan sounds and fairytale decoration.

TALENT ACADEMY acts include a flamenco performance in Spain from 4 p.m. An additional evening parade starts at 9 p.m. The arena show “The Legend of Zorro” is at 9:45 p.m., and “Scala dell’Arte” has a late performance at 11:30 p.m. When the themed areas glow in the evening, Walking Acts move through the park and special moments light up the night sky, the Summer Night Party finds its atmosphere. From 9 p.m., LED tealight objects with large Europa-Park motifs light the castle park. At 11 p.m., Characters, Europa-Park artists and special Walking Acts move through German Allee and send guests off — 15 hours, already in the regular admission ticket.
