Europa-Park Swiss Festival: National Day on Aug. 1–2, 2026

Grüezi mitenand — ready for a day in the Alps? On August 1 and 2, 2026, Europa-Park hosts its traditional Swiss Festival and turns the Valais village into a celebration of tradition, flavor, and family fun. If you love bobsleigh, cheese, Guggenmusik, and mountain romance, these are the dates to circle.

Each day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., the narrow lanes and rustic wooden huts around the cozy Valais village become a living stage. Switzerland is famous for chocolate and cheese, mountains and lakes — but the small neighboring country has far more to offer. That is exactly what Germany’s largest theme park is toasting for Swiss National Day.

Winter-sports fans get a special treat. Olympic champion Beat Hefti joins guests to push an original two-person bobsled on rails, so real Swiss bobsleigh feels close enough to touch. Then head to the Emmental show dairy: four times a day, cheese masters show live how fine fresh cheese is made — tasting included, of course.

Ticino Tourism adds a southern spark to the Swiss themed area. An info stand invites you to discover Switzerland’s sun lounge, an XXL deck chair makes the perfect photo stop, and the “Quizz me!” raffle offers attractive special prizes. A music duo and a mime artist keep the Mediterranean mood light.

Music keeps the Confederation’s heartbeat going. Guggenmusik band “Rafjifäger” from Brig brings Valais fire to the stage. Family band Manser serves earthy Appenzell sounds with “Brölisauer Gruess.” Alphorn players pull true mountain romance right into the park. All day long, 40 barrel-organ players from Switzerland and the tri-border region fill the lanes with nostalgia.

Kids get plenty to do, too. At the craft station, colorful pinwheels in Swiss design take shape. A chainsaw artist carves a buffalo and a bear from wood on site. Artist Uta Tebel of the TALENT ACADEMY Europa-Park shows pictures with typically Swiss motifs. Walking acts in the national colors, mascot Böckli and friends, and Charly Panto round out the program for every age.
