“And action!” Cameras are rolling at Heide Park Resort. Northern Germany’s largest theme park has become a film set – and not by accident. Actor Jürgen Vogel chose it as the backdrop for his feature-film directorial debut. For fans, that means scenes shot on park grounds they already know by heart.
Usually, guests come here for unforgettable thrills. Right now, the park doubles as an impressive movie set. Several scenes of Vogel’s film are being shot at Heide Park Resort. He needed a theme park with spectacular roller coasters and a beautiful lakeside landscape. He found both.
“For my feature-film directorial debut I was looking for a theme park with spectacular roller coasters that also offers a beautiful park landscape with a lake. I found both here at Heide Park Resort – a combination that is second to none in Germany,” says Jürgen Vogel.
The park is just as pleased about the collaboration and the chance to be seen in a different light. Peter Dunn, Divisional Director of Heide Park Resort, puts it this way: “We are very proud that Heide Park Resort plays a central role in Jürgen Vogel’s feature-film directorial debut. Even though we still have to wait a little longer until the film hits cinemas, we are already excited about the scenes that were shot here with us.”
The movie is expected in cinemas in summer 2027. Then audiences will see how the coasters and the lake landscape play on the big screen – and park fans may spot their favorite spots from a whole new angle.
