Who's behind the mysterious lead of Dr. Molino's Magical Circus? Studio 100 has the answer. Starting May 1, 2027, Hugo Sigal will play the eccentric explorer Dr. Molino—exclusively at the Studio 100 Theater De Panne in Plopsaland Belgium. For fans and families, that means one thing: a magical ride full of wonder is on the calendar.
After announcing the brand-new family show, Studio 100 is naming the actor who will carry the title role. Warm stage presence, years of experience and a broad audience connection make Sigal a natural fit. As Dr. Molino—an eccentric traveler who met extraordinary artists and wondrous figures on the road—he ties the spectacular production together.
Expect a full visual experience. Circus acts, acrobatics, humor and fantasy collide in a world where nothing is quite what it seems. The performance is entirely non-verbal, so guests of any age or nationality can follow along—handy for international visitors along the coast.
Sigal is eager to dive in: "When Studio 100 asked me to play Dr. Molino, I didn't have to think long. He is a mysterious character who radiates wonder and brings people together. What appeals to me most is that this show tells without words what is sometimes hard to explain: the power of imagination, emotion and wonder. I can't wait to take young and old into this breathtaking world."
Gert Verhulst backs the casting: "Hugo has a unique presence that fits the character of Dr. Molino perfectly. He has the gift of drawing people into his story immediately, even without words. He is therefore the ideal person to bring this special character to life."
From May 1, 2027, Dr. Molino opens his magical circus only at the Studio 100 Theater De Panne. Visitors can expect big acts, surprise encounters and pure moments of wonder. The show's universal format works for families and for the many international guests who head to the coast and Plopsaland Belgium each year. Step into Dr. Molino's world, and the adventure is likely to stick with you long afterward.
