At the 23rd international Europa-Park Cup hosted by SV Rust, it wasn’t just about young talents competing on the pitch. In the end, the real story was one of charity in action. The 166 teams from Germany, France and Switzerland raised an impressive €12,000 for two important local aid organizations.
All proceeds from parking fees and overnight stays at the new Silver Lake City campsite had been earmarked from the very beginning for the non-profit groups “Santa Isabel e.V. - Help for Children and Families” and “Einfach Helfen e.V. - Help for People in Need”. The youth tournament is one of the biggest of its kind in Germany.
The €12,000 was split evenly. €6,000 each went to Marianne Mack, chairwoman of Santa Isabel e.V., and Mauritia Mack, chairwoman of Einfach Helfen e.V. Both women were delighted with the generous donations that will bring real help to children and families in the region.
