Movie Park Germany Hits 40 Million Guests, Donates €40,000

What happens when an ordinary family outing suddenly ends like a blockbuster? A family from Fahrdorf near Schleswig found out at Movie Park Germany. As the park's 40 millionth guests, Christine, her husband Phillip and their sons Lennik and Bennet were greeted with park characters, Hollywood glamour and confetti — and wrote a movie-worthy scene into the park's success story.

The cameras rolled. With park characters S.A.M. and S.I.A., Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe and plenty of confetti, the family was ceremoniously welcomed and the milestone celebrated in style. Since opening in 1996, Germany's largest film and amusement park has drawn visitors with action-packed attractions built around the theme of film, spectacular shows and a full calendar of events. The arrival of the 40 millionth guest now joins that story as another chapter.

"40 million guests mean far more to us than just a number — they stand for 40 million personal experiences, memories and the trust of our visitors over many years," says Manuel Prossotowicz, Director Marketing & Sales, who was on site for the milestone. "This moment fills us with great pride and shows that our ambition to keep offering our guests new movie-worthy experiences is appreciated. Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who has been part of our story and accompanied us on this journey."

A summertime family outing on the way home from vacation turned into a real plot twist. When they walked through the gates, the family from Fahrdorf still had no idea what was coming. As the 40 millionth guests, they received an exclusive surprise package for the day: a shared meal at Trattoria Hollywood, Speedy passes, and platinum season passes for the rest of the current season and for 2027. Each family member also got to shop like a VIP in the Department Store and put together a merchandise package. As a further highlight, they can look forward to a weekend stay of their choice, with overnight accommodation, at Tropical Islands Resort. "You can't possibly have that much luck!" says mother Christine. "We're incredibly happy about this surprise."

With the milestone, Movie Park Germany also underscores its social responsibility as a family amusement park. Charitable work isn't limited to the anniversary season — the 40 million mark is being taken as a chance to offer more families and children movie-worthy support in everyday life. "We are donating a total of €40,000 for charitable projects to symbolically celebrate this day and make a statement as a family amusement park," explains park spokesperson Ann-Katrin Dölken, who also heads Movie Park's social impact area.

The donations are channeled through the Four Wings Foundation, established within the Parques Reunidos park group. €10,000 each goes to SOS-Kinderdorf Essen, the Förderverein PRO Kinderklinik e.V. of Marienhospital in Bottrop, and the Manuel Neuer Kids Foundation with its MANUS facilities in Gelsenkirchen and Bottrop — organizations that support socially disadvantaged or seriously ill children through projects and funding. A further €10,000 remains with the Four Wings Foundation to support humanitarian and nonprofit initiatives. The foundation is to be expanded further together with Movie Park and given an additional family-oriented focus that fits the park's vision. Movie Park Germany plans to start partnerships with local clubs and organizations and set new impulses. Further information is expected to follow soon.

For fans and families, the day captures what Movie Park Germany is about: big emotions, unexpected twists and the feeling of being part of a movie-worthy story yourself — whether as the 40 millionth guest or as part of the community the park is giving something back to with its donation.
