TRAUMATICA 2026: 20 Years of Horror, 10-Year Anniversary

Gates that should have stayed shut are opening again. From Sept. 23 through Nov. 7, 2026, TRAUMATICA celebrates a double anniversary on Europa-Park’s festival grounds under the slogan “20 Years of Horror – 10 Years of TRAUMATICA.” Eight horror attractions, hungry creatures, shows and immersive experiences promise a new dimension of terror — darker and more merciless than ever. Who dares to walk into this night?

The creatures are hungry. They’re already waiting. For fans of the multiple award-winning horror event, the anniversary year is not only a look back but the beginning of a new, terrifying chapter. Michael Mack, managing partner of Europa-Park & CEO of MACK One, says: “For two decades, our horror event has stood for extraordinary stories, impressive productions and intense experiences that keep surprising our guests. With TRAUMATICA, we have created a distinctive world that continues to evolve. The double anniversary is a special milestone for us and, at the same time, the beginning of a new, terrifying chapter. I am especially looking forward to celebrating this anniversary together with Marc Terenzi and being able to reopen the Vampires Club on the first two weekends.”

Eight horror attractions send guests into different worlds of dark stories, threatening creatures and unexpected encounters. Elaborate sets, impressive effects and numerous live performers keep a new danger lurking behind every door. Staging and reality blur, and every step could lead deeper into the next nightmare.

Wakala’s Wonderland welcomes the whole family to a supposedly unforgettable day of play, fun and delicious pizza. Behind the colorful play areas and the friendly staff is a world where the boundaries between childlike joy and sheer terror increasingly blur. In Day 1, the first day of the apocalypse has dawned, and the ways out grow slimmer. As the danger closes in, survivors grab at what they believe is their last chance, without knowing whether the safety that could save them is actually within reach or the real end is only just beginning.

The once-fascinating Tarot House, billed as Last Descent, is now a cursed crypt. Madame Monroe, the spirits of her circle and the demons she has summoned hunt for new souls. On the last descent through the swamp of the damned, visitors either are of value to the demons’ plans or remain in Madame Monroe’s power for all eternity. Deep underground, Dark Remains stretches through catacombs that have long drawn thrill-seekers and lovers of the macabre. Curious visitors are not the only ones moving through that subterranean labyrinth of graves, and not everything buried there in the darkness is still asleep.

In The Hill – Hide and Seek, the search for the missing children leads deeper into the secrets of The Hill, where forbidden magic and uncanny creatures wait for their next victims. A powerful witch has summoned the legendary Nachtkrapp, a night raven, and started a deadly game of hide-and-seek. The question is who finds whom first. In Murderdome – Bonus Round, the Game Master opens a new bonus round and makes the path to the finish line even more merciless. Extra obstacles and new track sections slow the participants down and turn them into easy prey. Traumatica Pictures once again invites people to a casting in Studio-13 – Callback and welcomes promising participants back to the notorious Studio-13. The filmmakers want to go deeper into their memories, fears and hidden abysses to awaken that dark side that has long been waiting inside for its chance.

Besides the horror attractions, other attractions and shows are open, including “Pegasus – Die YoungStar Achterbahn” (Pegasus – The YoungStar Coaster), “Matterhorn-Blitz” and “Fluch der Kassandra VR” (Curse of Cassandra VR). The TRAUMATICA ice show pairs impressive staging with acrobatics and extraordinary performances. Shows are at 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Additional stage and outdoor shows bring spectacular entertainment to the grounds at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.

The new immersive experience “THE HOTEL” is particularly intense. Together with ghost hunters, participants enter an abandoned hotel that apparently no longer wants to let its guests leave. The full-contact experience is walked through alone, is not barrier-free and is open exclusively to people 18 and older. Also new is the earlier opening of the Food Court. From 6 p.m., visitors can get in the mood for the night ahead with their personal last meal of the condemned before the rest of the grounds and the attractions open at 7 p.m.

For anyone who wants to close the evening in TRAUMATICA style, “The Forbidden” is opening its gates again. Powerful beats, extraordinary drinks and fiery show elements turn the club into a dance floor of the underworld. “The Forbidden” is open Fridays and Saturdays from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. Admission is exclusively for people 18 and older. For the big anniversary, the legendary Vampire’s Club is also returning. Exclusively on the first two TRAUMATICA weekends, the club opens its doors each Friday and Saturday from 11 p.m. and invites visitors until 3 a.m. to a night among the creatures of darkness. TRAUMATICA runs from Sept. 23 through Nov. 7, 2026, Fridays through Sundays as well as on selected Thursdays. The exclusive preview is Sept. 23, the official premiere Sept. 25, 2026. The entrance area and ticket check open at 5:45 p.m. each day. From 6 p.m., the Food Court is accessible. What began in 2007 with the “Terenzi Horror Nights” has grown over two decades into one of Europe’s best-known horror events. Together with singer Marc Terenzi, Europa-Park for the first time created a standalone horror experience for adults after regular park operations. Elaborate sets, international makeup artists and numerous live performers made visitors the main characters of new nightmares year after year. In 2017, the concept was overhauled under the name “Horror Nights – Traumatica.” A post-apocalyptic world took shape in which rival factions and uncanny creatures battle for supremacy. Since then, the event has steadily added new horror attractions, shows, interactive elements and an ever more comprehensive story world. In the following years, TRAUMATICA continued to grow on a purpose-built festival site and increasingly combined classic horror attractions with shows, interactive elements and an ongoing story. In 2026, Europa-Park looks back under the slogan “20 Years of Horror – 10 Years of TRAUMATICA!” on two decades full of fear, terror and extraordinary entertainment.
