Disney California Adventure Park 25th Anniversary 2026: Soarin’ Return and Exclusive Offerings

Disney California Adventure Park turns 25 in 2026 – and fans have plenty of special highlights to look forward to. Starting February 6, guests can enjoy new outfits for Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, the return of opening-day classic Soarin’ Over California, exclusive merchandise, an interactive Pixar Pal-A-Round Bucket, and more limited-time offerings that nod to park history. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Downtown Disney District also celebrate their 25th anniversaries with unique surprises.

The park, which opened February 8, 2001, on what was once a Disneyland parking lot, has evolved from an ambitious new beginning into a diverse theme park featuring areas like Cars Land, Buena Vista Street, Pixar Pier, Avengers Campus, and San Fransokyo Square. As a tribute to that journey, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will appear in brand-new outfits on Buena Vista Street starting February 6, with sun motifs and vibrant colors recalling the golden optimism of opening day.

A true highlight for longtime fans: Opening-day favorite Soarin’ Over California returns February 6 through July 1, 2026. The virtual flight over California icons including the Golden Gate Bridge, Yosemite National Park, Palm Springs, and downtown Los Angeles, set to serene yet dramatic music, delivers unforgettable moments. Starting July 2, the all-new Soarin’ Across America will debut for America’s 250th anniversary.

Sweet treats await: From February 6–15, 2026, Schmoozies! serves a decadent cake shake and a confetti shake with strawberry icing, sprinkles, whipped topping, and a slice of cake. The must-have novelty is the limited Pixar Pal-A-Round Bucket featuring “Magic Inside” technology, available starting February 6 (while supplies last) at select locations including Hollywood Lounge, Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta, Grizzly Peak Airfield, Fairfax Market, and various popcorn carts. The bucket reacts with color and light patterns to specific park locations and enhances nighttime spectaculars with extra pixie dust.

Merchandise collectors will love the Disney California Adventure 25th Anniversary Collection: apparel and three collectible pins with stylized artwork of park icons like Carthay Circle Tower, Pixar Pal-A-Round, and Grizzly Peak, available February 6 at Elias & Co., Gone Hollywood, and Seaside Souvenirs. On actual anniversary day February 8, 2026, guests with valid tickets can receive a complimentary commemorative map (limited quantities).

Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa – the first Disney hotel inside a theme park (first guests January 2, 2001, official opening February 8) – joins the celebration. Starting February 6, Humphrey the Bear makes his “bear-y” first Disney Parks appearance at Storytellers Cafe during Donald’s Tales of Adventure dinner buffet. The mischievous grizzly inspired Humphrey’s Service & Supplies in the park. A limited-edition pin featuring Chip ‘n’ Dale in front of the Craftsman-style façade is available now at Acorns Gifts & Goods.

Downtown Disney District, opened January 12, 2001, offers a special anniversary tote and pin with the new logo at World of Disney, plus various 70th Celebration specialty menu items at select restaurants.
