Disney's Sequoia Lodge: First Look Inside the New Imagineer Rooms!

Disneyland Paris fans, get ready: The Imagineers are giving us our first real look inside the new rooms at Disney Sequoia Lodge. A new phase of the Disney Hotels transformation plan has begun, with major refurbishment work now starting at the hotel.

These renovations aim to enhance the guest experience while keeping the warm, authentic atmosphere that visitors have loved since 1992. In the first phase, all rooms in the five outdoor lodges – right in the heart of the Sequoia Forest – will be renovated. While preparatory work continues, the Walt Disney Imagineering Paris teams are already putting the finishing touches on the model rooms.

“This key step allows the Imagineers to experience their creative vision at full scale for the first time,” says Sophie Coudré, Artistic Director at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris. “The model rooms allow us to validate the overall artistic direction with all the teams involved, refine the creative choices, and make any necessary adjustments – particularly regarding the materials used. We are delighted with the results of these tests and look forward to welcoming our guests into the new rooms, where they can be fully immersed in the beauty of nature once the renovations are complete.”

The new rooms embody the fresh artistic direction of Disney Sequoia Lodge. They honor the beauty of nature while celebrating the beloved Disney characters who call the forest home – including Bambi and his friends as well as the charming characters from Pixar’s Brave.

In the following phases, the remaining rooms and all key areas of the hotel – including the lobby, shops and restaurants – will be completely redesigned. Everything will become a true ode to wildlife, providing the perfect setting to unwind and let your mind wander. Important for anyone planning a trip: Disney Sequoia Lodge will remain open throughout the entire refurbishment, which will be carried out in phases.
