The themed area of the magical city Raveleijn in Efteling is being completely renewed and expanded with a new, exciting attraction featuring a thrill experience. The well-known park show is undergoing a complete metamorphosis with a new storyline and impressive show effects, while the current main characters will continue to be seen. The renewed themed area is expected to open at the end of 2026.
Farewell to the Current Park Show
The park show Raveleijn will be presented in its current form for the last time this season. Until the Christmas holidays, visitors can experience the story in which the five riders are summoned by Halina to the magical city to undergo training and protect Raveleijn from the evil Count Olaf and his five-headed Draconicon. After that, the gates of the city will close temporarily.
Expansion of the Themed Area
The entire themed area around the park show is being expanded to enable complete immersion. The story of Raveleijn is ideally suited for this, and by placing the new attraction outside the open-air arena, the area becomes larger. The gastronomy area will be expanded, and a souvenir shop added to immerse even more visitors in the theme.
Details on the Renewed Show
In the renewed version of the park show, a new storyline will be introduced, supplemented by impressive show effects that make the show highly spectacular. The current main characters remain, and additional components will be added to the recognizable decor in the open-air arena. Due to the changes, the show will be visible more often than ever before, several times a day and almost throughout the entire year. Live animals are no longer part of the experience, and more environmentally friendly fire effects will be chosen, in line with the park's sustainability vision.
Description of the New Attraction
The new attraction for the Raveleijn themed area will be realized directly outside the city wall and offers a rotating floating experience. Visitors essentially fly along with the wings of the ravens, with many flowing movements and tilts creating a sense of intensity and tension. This results in a true thrill experience in a compact form.
