Hansa-Park Unveils New Family Attraction 'Einars Fjordfahrt'

The Hansa-Park in Sierksdorf is expanding its Viking Land with the family-friendly attraction "Einars Fjordfahrt." This new addition from manufacturer Zierer draws on the story of the fictional children's characters Einar and Elin, who already feature in the neighboring roller coaster "Die Schlange von Midgard." At the heart of it is the adventurous Viking boy Einar, who takes guests on a swinging journey through Nordic fjords.

Thematic Integration

The attraction's thematic integration builds on the park's established narrative. Einar and Elin are familiar figures from the roller coaster "Die Schlange von Midgard," and now Einar guides passengers in his role as a brave Viking boy. The ride simulates a trip through typical Nordic landscapes, playfully linking the existing elements of Viking Land.

Technical Features

"Einars Fjordfahrt" stands out technically with innovative elements. The Kontiki L from Zierer includes a specially developed ship shape called "FENYA," featuring a newly designed dragon head on just one side. The opposite side is closed. The track spans 19 meters and reaches a maximum height of nearly four meters. Up to 24 people can join per ride, with children as small as 90 centimeters tall permitted. Two dedicated child seats are built into the inner rows at the ship's mast.

Design and Staging

The attraction's design emphasizes immersive features. Rather than mounting on an elevated platform, the swing sits at ground level within a spacious water basin, encircled by rocky formations that evoke Scandinavian fjord scenery. This setup demands a complex foundation extending over three meters deep in the center to shield the installation from surrounding water. The lowered build also provides barrier-free access. At dusk, lighting integrated into the rocks heightens the atmospheric effect of the whole setup.
