At Parc Astérix, nature is reclaiming its rights – and not just in the guest areas, but deep into the backstage zones! The park’s employees voted in an internal poll for a special environmental project: the greening of a backstage area right in front of the Restaurant of the Gauls. The goal was to create a greener and more welcoming space for daily operations.
This measure is part of Parc Astérix’s broad sustainability strategy. It follows the “Avoid, Reduce, Compensate, Accompany” (ERCA) principle, complies with all applicable environmental regulations and aims to reduce the ecological footprint while the park continues to grow and biodiversity is protected. Led by the landscaping specialists at Loiseleur, the work was completed in the spring. The result speaks for itself: a redesigned, noticeably greener and more inviting setting that now brightens daily life behind the scenes.
But the initiative doesn’t stop there. Soon, birdhouses and insect hotels will be added to boost species diversity in the area even further. With this project, Parc Astérix shows its strong commitment to biodiversity – every single day, both in the public areas and behind the scenes. For fans, it’s an inspiring example of how theme parks can work responsibly with nature.
