Carnival fans, get ready! For the fourth consecutive year, PortAventura World is launching the new season with a spectacular and colorful carnival celebration. From February 27 to March 22, the entire resort turns into a vibrant stage full of music, dance and pure joy.
This year introduces a fresh creative concept that links the street entertainment closely to the different themed areas of PortAventura Park. Moving away from traditional Venetian or Brazilian carnivals, the resort offers a unique experience that keeps the festive spirit alive for several more weeks – perfect for everyone who wants to enjoy Carnival properly and not just for a few days.
At the heart of it all are five fantastic carnival troupes from Tarragona: Pandora, Sinhus, Artifex, Colours Fantasy and Torres Jordi. More than 70 dancers will bring energy to the streets with brand-new costumes, music and choreography in multiple daily performances. In addition to the parades, they will also perform on the stages at Plaza Yucatán and Penitence Station.
An energetic batucada group adds even more rhythm, performing several times a day and delivering an exciting pre-show before the now-iconic Carnival Parade. Costumed street performers interact directly with guests, and families can enjoy the magical “Carnival Magic Bubble” show.
The carnival has been specially designed for families, offering something for both those who prefer a relaxed atmosphere and thrill-seekers. During this period, the resort welcomes many local visitors and loyal returning guests who come specifically for these exclusive shows available only during the festive season.
