Regal View Restaurant & Lounge at Disneyland Paris: Exceptional Collaboration Between Royal Delft and Disney Imagineering

Who hasn't dreamed of sitting right next to Vaiana, Ariel or Belle and experiencing not just the food but the entire fairy-tale world of the princesses up close? That royal feeling awaits you now in the heart of Adventure Bay at Disneyland Paris. The new Regal View Restaurant & Lounge is far more than just a restaurant — it’s the result of a masterful collaboration between the artisans of Royal Delft and the teams at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris. Every detail has been crafted with incredible care.

The moment you step into the lobby, the story begins. Nine handcrafted ornamental plates from Royal Delft greet you behind the check-in counter. Each one features an exclusive symbol: Vaiana’s Kumandra flower, the Sultan’s Palace that is home to Princess Jasmine, the enchanted rose from Beauty and the Beast, or motifs of Cinderella, Snow White, Raya, Merida, Belle, Aurora and Ariel. These plates are far more than decoration. They form the heart of the storytelling, bringing the princesses’ worlds to life through symbols, places and patterns.

The Dutch manufacturer Royal Delft, founded in 1653 and official supplier to the royal family, contributes its centuries-old Delft Blue craftsmanship. The artisans paint each motif by hand with cobalt oxide on raw ceramic. When fired, the famous unique blue color emerges. Bowie Faas, Principal Creative Producer at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris and a native Dutchman, is particularly proud: "One element I’m very proud of, since it was created in my home country, are the ornamental plates in the lobby featuring exclusive designs reflecting the world of Disney Princesses."

Royal Delft CEO Hessel Hoekstra adds: "Both our companies create magic in their own way. It is a true honor to see our beautifully hand-painted Delft Blue plates displayed in such a distinctive setting within Disney Adventure World." The connection dates back to 1951, when Walt and Lillian Disney visited the factory. Later, a fountain at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles was created from Royal Delft shards.

For fans, this means one thing: You don’t just eat here. You experience a complete Disney fairy tale with all your senses – in an elegant summer residence with a lake view and exceptional craftsmanship. An absolute must-visit for anyone who loves princesses, attention to detail, and real magic!
