Daily magic takes shape at Efteling through the efforts of dedicated employees from Prisma. The organization from North Brabant supports people with disabilities or those needing extra assistance, including in day activities and employment. For 25 years, it has partnered with the theme park, aligning perfectly with Efteling's core values: genuine connection and curiosity toward one another. In the Pakhuys, now closely tied to Prisma for 12.5 years, colleagues ensure seamless operations while their commitment and enthusiasm infuse extra magic into every day.
The partnership between Efteling and Prisma has evolved into an indispensable part of the park. Over these 25 years, Prisma employees have contributed across areas such as the theme park, the Pakhuys, and the accommodations. Some colleagues work in fixed departments within the park as integral team members. This exchange promotes openness and enriches daily life. The enthusiasm of these colleagues sparks fresh wonder in the park each day.
In the Pakhuys, employees handle a variety of logistical tasks. They fold and sort materials, label products, count or bundle them, and unpack or pack items. These activities form the invisible backbone of Efteling and guarantee efficient operations. The precision and team spirit of the colleagues make a significant contribution to overall quality.
In the Pleintjes group, employees keep the park clean and welcoming, ensuring guests can linger comfortably. Jelle Akkermans, 30, devotes four days a week to this service. “I have been working at Efteling for 2.5 years with great joy. The tasks are always the same, but every day feels different nonetheless. Together with my colleagues, I ensure the park benches are clean so everyone can sit comfortably here. But we also pick up litter and clean all the Holle Bolle Gijs daily—they are often pretty dirty. I find the work atmosphere cozy, with colleagues but also with guests. Everyone is cheerful, and I love showing people the way or answering their questions. One of my favorite spots in Efteling is the Abdijplein at "Danse Macabre"—I think it's so beautifully designed. We clean the benches here too, so people can sit comfortably and take in the surroundings,” he describes his work.
Duane Ogunnorin, 26, is also involved in the Pleintjes group. He takes on duties there for three days and works at the entrance for two days. This combination links maintenance with guest service and bolsters the park's organization.
In Loonsche Land, tasks unfold amid nature. Prisma colleagues assist at the children's farm, care for animals, and perform maintenance work in the green spaces. Rinke Hardonk is on site five days a week and contributes to a well-kept environment that offers families and children a slice of idyllic countryside.
