DJ BoBo held the world premiere of his new tour “The Great Adventure” at the Europa-Park Arena on January 15, 2026. The first show was completely sold out and once again demonstrated the Swiss superstar’s ability to surprise audiences with every tour while delivering catchy, memorable songs. Additional performances continue in Rust through January 18, 2026, before the production moves across Europe and later to South America.
The elaborate production, which took two years from concept to completion, ranks among the most technically sophisticated eurodance arena shows in Europe. Featuring a large ensemble, advanced technology, spectacular stage sets, unique costumes, impressive video effects, and breathtaking choreography, the show takes the audience on an adventurous journey and provides ideal family-friendly entertainment.
This marks the eighth time DJ BoBo has chosen Europa-Park for a tour world premiere. The performances also serve as the grand finale to the park’s anniversary year. The heartwarming anniversary song “Celebrating under the Stars,” composed specifically for the occasion, perfectly matched the motto “Celebrating under the Stars.”
During the dress rehearsal, DJ BoBo and his wife Nancy Baumann, who have been close friends with the Mack family, owners of Europa-Park, for many years, presented a check for 30,000 euros to Mauritia Mack, chairwoman of the nonprofit Einfach Helfen e.V., and Miriam Mack, ambassador for the Europa-Park Kinderhaus Kleine Helden. The amount was raised primarily through ticket sales to Europa-Park employees for the dress rehearsal, which generated 26,000 euros; DJ BoBo then rounded the total up to 30,000 euros. The donation supports the Europa-Park Kinderhaus Kleine Helden—where DJ BoBo serves as an ambassador—as well as Santa Isabel e.V., led by Marianne Mack; Einfach Helfen e.V.; and Talent Foundation e.V., led by Katja Mack.
Another highlight of the premiere is the participation of 10 long-standing members of the Europa-Park TALENT ACADEMY. The young talents accompany 4 songs with dance performances. The collaboration was initiated by Katja Mack, founder and director of the TALENT ACADEMY, and Curtis Burger, DJ BoBo’s longtime choreographer. For these emerging artists, taking part in a professional production represents a major milestone and offers the opportunity to perform in front of a large audience. They will also appear at the Mannheim arena show in May before more than 10,000 spectators.
Complementing the tour is the “DJ BoBo – The Great Adventure VR Experience” in the YULLBE GO area of Europa-Park. Developed in close collaboration among DJ BoBo’s creative team, MACK One, and Europa-Park, the virtual reality attraction combines music, interactive gameplay mechanics, and immersive worlds. Visitors experience rhythm-based gameplay similar to popular music games as they travel through fantastic worlds filled with secrets, puzzles, and encounters, culminating in a spectacular virtual concert.
Technically, “The Great Adventure” sets new benchmarks: 33 artists and acrobats perform on stage, supported by 80 technicians and tour crew members plus 50 local helpers. The production features 80 costumes and a 230-square-meter stage area. Standout elements include the eagle “Skeleton Eddy,” which is 28 meters wide and 10 meters deep, and the 11-meter-high guardians “Skeletons,” activated by 6 6,000-watt fans. The rigging system has 80 suspension points with a maximum load capacity of 80 tons; the lighting installation weighs 25,000 kilograms, and the steel construction 18,000 kilograms. Visual effects are created by 5 HD projectors delivering a total of 45,000 ANSI lumens, 250 moving heads, and 13,000 LED pixels, while the sound system delivers 50,000 watts. The infrastructure requires 500 amperes of power and 6 kilometers of cable. The tour travels with 12 40-ton trucks and 5 nightliner buses.
The tour is scheduled through 2027, with current dates in Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. Further stops in Brazil, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, and Colombia are in preparation.
Europa-Park opens its 2026 summer season on March 28, 2026. The Rulantica water world and the resort hotels remain open year-round.
