On Sunday, November 30, 2025, more than 200 visitors gathered in the festively decorated Convento room of the Hotel Santa Isabel at Europa-Park to celebrate this year's Advent service. Under the motto “4, 3, 2, 1 … arrived!,” the contemplative event offered a moment of togetherness and quiet reflection on the Advent season. The service marked an atmospheric prelude to a period filled with anticipation and contemplation in the theme park.
The chaplains of the Church in Europa-Park, Andrea Ziegler and Thomas Schneeberger, led the Advent service through empathetic words and pre-Christmas reflections. They created a special atmosphere that immersed participants in the tranquility of the weeks ahead. At the center of the service was the collective lighting of the first candle on the Advent wreath, symbolizing the start of the four weeks of Advent.
The musical accompaniment added further warmth to the event. The chamber choir of the Catholic Parish Community Achern provided harmonious tones under the direction of cantor and church musician Frank Hodapp. These sounds underpinned the festive atmosphere and highlighted the unique character of the occasion at Europa-Park.
