Europa-Park Marks 50 Years with Zeppelin and Film Premiere

On July 12, 2025, Europa-Park in Rust will celebrate its 50th anniversary. Germany’s largest theme park invites guests to an unforgettable jubilee weekend featuring a Zeppelin soaring above Rust, the world premiere of the animated film “GRAND PRIX OF EUROPE,” a vibrant anniversary parade, and a summer night party until midnight.

A Weekend Packed with Highlights

From July 11 to 14, 2025, visitors will enjoy a spectacular program. A 75-meter-long Europa-Park Zeppelin, adorned with mascots Ed Euromaus and Edda Euromausi, will glide 300 meters above Rust. After the jubilee weekend, the airship will travel across the Lake Constance region, Allgäu, and the Alpine foothills until mid-November. On July 12, the animated film “GRAND PRIX OF EUROPE” will premiere in the Magic Cinema 4D, while the summer night party, running until midnight, will captivate with shows, surprises, and roller coaster rides. The day kicks off with lively beats welcoming guests at the main entrance, setting the tone for an action-packed experience.

World Premiere of the Animated Film

The co-production “GRAND PRIX OF EUROPE,” created by MACK Magic and Warner Bros. Film Productions Germany and produced by Michael Mack, follows mascots Ed and Edda in an action-packed adventure. After its gala premiere on July 12 with invited guests, the film will hit cinemas in Germany, Austria, and German-speaking Switzerland starting July 24. Complementing the release, a new family attraction, “GRAND PRIX EDventure,” opens in the Luxembourg themed area, where guests join Ed and Edda’s Racing Crew for a thrilling car race across Europe.

Summer Night Party and Attractions

The summer night party on July 12 transforms the park into a festive hub until midnight. All 17 themed areas offer special activities, while 14 roller coasters, including the award-winning “Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac” in the Croatia themed area, deliver pure adrenaline. Live bands, imaginative walking acts, and the anniversary parade with colorful floats and dancers on Luxemburger Platz create a joyous atmosphere. Children will love “Ed and Edda’s Kids Action” with six themed bouncy castles in the Austria themed area and meet-and-greets with the mascots during the parade.

Shows and Delights for All

As the sun sets, enchanting lighting, such as the sea of tealights in the Historischer Schlosspark Balthasar, bathes the park in a magical glow. The stunt show “Die Legende des Zorro” in the Spanish Arena thrills with equestrian and acrobatic feats. Music fans will enjoy the ABBA tribute show “Swede Sensation,” featuring 1970s hits. Dance enthusiasts can join the DJ party in Croatia or the Silent Disco on Botta Platz. In the Eatrenalin Lounge on the sailing ship “Santa Marian” in the Portuguese themed area, food lovers can savor creative cocktails.

Five Decades of Europa-Park

Since opening in 1975, Europa-Park has enchanted millions of visitors. Under the motto “Celebrating Under the Stars,” the Mack family, who owns the park, marks 50 years of cherished memories in 2025. Themed festivals throughout the year showcase European culture and cuisine. Over 100 attractions, including water coasters like “Poseidon” and “Atlantica SuperSplash,” invite guests to explore meticulously designed themed areas, offering more than 15 hours of thrilling fun.

Keepsakes to Cherish

An exclusive anniversary collection allows visitors to take home a piece of Europa-Park’s history. The official commemorative album and the 50-year Europa-Park chronicle document the park’s milestones. To cap off the birthday celebration, Europa-Park has additional surprises in store for guests.
