Groundbreaking in Rust: Europa-Park Employee Housing Project

On Wednesday, October 22, the ceremonial groundbreaking for the "Employee House Living 60+" project took place on Ellenweg in Rust. This new residential complex will provide 65 modern apartments for a total of 77 residents, targeting citizens aged 60 and older as well as Europa-Park employees. The initiative underscores the close collaboration between the theme park and the municipality of Rust while expanding the urban development area in the east of the town.

Details on the Construction Project

The project includes 29 one-room apartments specifically for Rust citizens aged 60 and older. Additional units will provide attractive living spaces for Europa-Park employees. Each apartment features modern comforts and includes a balcony or terrace.

Collaboration and Growth

Ann-Kathrin Mack, managing partner of Europa-Park, highlighted the project's significance: "For 50 years, Europa-Park has been growing steadily—and with it the municipality of Rust. We are grateful for the trust and support we have received from the beginning," said Ann-Kathrin Mack. This construction project exemplifies the fruitful cooperation between Europa-Park and Rust.

Vision for the Complex

Frederik Mack, HR director of Europa-Park, expressed delight in creating a place that offers Rust citizens and employees a modern, livable home. The complex will serve as a meeting place where generations and cultures converge, strengthening community and cohesion. Additionally, the nearby "Welcome Center 75" functions as a public gathering spot for employees, guests of the Europa-Park Experience Resort, Rust citizens, and residents of surrounding communities.
