Season Start 2026 at Europa-Park Erlebnis-Resort: Discover New, Create Memories

Just three days to go and the 2026 summer season kicks off at Europa-Park Erlebnis-Resort. On March 28 Germany’s largest theme park opens daily from 9 a.m. to at least 6 p.m. and treats guests to a year packed with fresh discoveries and memories that will last a lifetime. With more than 100 rides and shows, authentic European architecture and regional cuisine, the resort remains the perfect family destination. Right next door Rulantica delivers year-round water fun, while the six on-site 4-Star Superior Hotels and Silver Lake City round off the ideal short break.

At this Wednesday’s press conference the Mack family owners gave over 150 international media representatives a detailed look at the new offerings and ongoing projects. The undisputed star of the season is the Principality of Monaco, arriving as the 18th European themed area. Around the 73-metre-tall Silver Star – Germany’s tallest roller coaster – a genuine Mediterranean Riviera atmosphere is taking shape with magnificent architecture, elegant yacht harbours and culinary highlights. Visitors stroll through an exotic garden inspired by the Jardin Exotique, admire an immersive digital aquarium, try racing simulators on the original Grand Prix circuit and explore an exclusive car and racing exhibition drawn from the private collection of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, including an original racing suit worn by Charles Leclerc. The new Café de Paris invites guests to linger with aperitivos and sweet treats. The “Winter Circus Revue”, created in close cooperation with the International Circus Festival of Monte Carlo, already delighted audiences last winter.

Visitors will gain an insight into the history of the Principality and the many events that make Monaco a special destination all year round.”

A new culinary highlight also premieres right at the start of the season: well-known food creator Sally Özcan opens her very first café, Sallys Café, in the Icelandic themed area inside the blue fire Dome. Freshly baked cakes, specialty coffees and little surprises from her repertoire await guests. Other gastronomic novelties include the transformation of Pastaria di Enzo into Enzos Eis-Spaghetteria, the relocation of Happiness Station to the Irish themed area and the expansion of Mobile Ordering via the Europa-Park & Rulantica app at the CMAK and Moby Dick snack stands.

In the Magic Cinema 4D, Rulantica’s lively mascot Snorri makes his big-screen debut. The new animated film “SNORRI 4D – Catch Me If You Candy” from MACK Magic (directed by Thierry Marchand, Oscar-nominated for “Oktapodi”) takes young and old on a humorous, action-packed underwater adventure full of impressive 4D effects and orchestral music recorded in Berlin’s Teldex Studios.

Silver Lake City keeps growing into a proper Western town. On 18 June 2026 the Riverside Western Lodge opens with 119 rustic rooms, a sauna area, Grandpa Will’s Hot Dogs, Cold Rush Western Ice Creams, a new shop with 24/7 self-service and a permanent YULLBE GO VR location. The Silver Lake Brewery serves freshly brewed “Silver Lake Brew”, while the Wild Horse Bar, Silver Lake Saloon and Diner Station spoil guests with plenty of tasty treats. Gold Rush Golf, campfires and game locations create genuine Western vibes. In early July a very special heart project follows: the Europa-Park Kinderhaus Kleine Helden for young cancer survivors and their families, created in close cooperation with Stiftung RTL – Wir helfen Kindern, with Miriam Mack as ambassador and DJ BoBo as patron.

Rulantica guarantees year-round water fun with over 50 slides and attractions, including the giant wave pool, the water carousel Tønnevirvel, the outdoor slide world Svalgurok (May to September), Europe’s largest speed slide Vikingløp and the new outdoor pool Svømmepøl set in a volcanic landscape. Fresh content for Snorri Snorkeling VR and the new outdoor shop Bubba’s Butikk – stocking flip-flops, caps, sunscreen, sweets and refreshing drinks – complete the experience.

In 2026 the two-star fine-dining restaurant Ammolite – House of Light presents itself with a new separate entrance, a walk-in WineChamber, modern design and down-to-earth modern European cuisine under Chef Peter Hagen-Wiest. Further improvements include redesigns in Deutsche Allee, new shows such as “Wonderlab – Magie außer Kontrolle” with Timothy Trust & Diamond, the Baarle-Eck at Friethuys, a model exhibition on park history at Voletarium, new arcade machines, renovations at Castello dei Medici and eight new smoking areas.

The six 4-Star Superior Hotels and Silver Lake City offer heavenly nights with thematically designed rooms, pools, children’s water playgrounds and spacious wellness areas. Hotel highlights include a children’s cinema at Bubba Svens, new box-spring beds at Santa Isabel and the redesign of Suite Palladio into Suite Claudia Cardinale at Colosseo.

A packed event calendar rounds off the year – from Easter activities and the balloon festival to Dutch and Italian festivals, public viewing of the Football World Cup, Western Fest, Midsommar in Rulantica, “Spargel satt”, the Euro-Musique Festival, summer night parties, TRAUMATICA, HALLOWinter and the Winter Magic – ensuring unforgettable moments from spring right through to New Year’s Eve.
