Sasha Rides Colossos: Star Guest Launches 25th Anniversary

At Heide Park Resort today, a very special birthday tribute was paid – right on board Europe’s tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster. Singer Sasha stepped in as the celebrity guest and completed the official anniversary ride on “Colossos – Battle of the Giants,” officially kicking off the 2026 birthday celebrations.

The 60-meter-tall giant, with top speeds of up to 110 km/h and a steep 61-degree drop, has been the undisputed icon of Heide Park Resort since its opening day. For many visitors, “Colossos” truly connects generations: countless guests have been riding the nearly 1.5-kilometer track since their childhood – and now often share the experience with their own kids, enjoying the breathtaking airtime that makes this coaster a genuine monument for thrill-seekers.

After the ride, Sasha admitted with a broad grin: “When I was asked if I wanted to do the anniversary ride, I briefly considered offering to sing ‘Colossos’ a birthday song instead of getting on board. I had a lot of respect because the coaster is a real giant – tall, steep, and fast. But after the initial shock, my nerves settled and it turned out to be great fun.”

The highlight of the anniversary celebrations is the exclusive party on September 12, 2026, for 1,000 guests and fans. That evening, “Colossos – Battle of the Giants” will run exclusively for event visitors, beautifully illuminated in a spectacular nighttime atmosphere that makes the adrenaline rush even more intense. Additional surprises will only be revealed shortly before or during the event itself.

Tickets for the anniversary party are not for sale – they can only be won. “We deliberately decided against putting them on general sale because we want the party guests to already have a great time on their way to earning their ‘Golden Party Ticket,’” explains George Hope, Marketing Director of Heide Park Resort. Opportunities to win a ticket will come through social media campaigns, partner promotions, or directly in the park – for example by riding “Colossos,” “Big Loop,” or “Grottenblitz,” or even when buying a portion of Schmalzkuchen.

In addition to the big party, more anniversary highlights await fans: A strictly limited 25th-anniversary merchandise collection featuring the official logo will be released soon. The official “Colossos” soundtrack is also available now on all major music platforms. Those who want to celebrate with their taste buds can try the new “Spicy Colossos Menu” at the “Wirtshaus des Admirals” – a spicy schnitzel with barbecue-chili sauce that, just like the coaster itself, is nothing for the faint-hearted.

Tech enthusiasts can also look forward to exclusive backstage tours. Starting April 28, the Heide Park Resort team will take participants behind the scenes of the wooden coaster, right between the rails, wooden beams, and bolts. Additional dates will be released gradually. The crowning finale of the entire anniversary season, however, remains the big party on September 12, 2026.
