LEGOLAND Florida Announces Space Coaster for 2026

The LEGOLAND Florida Resort in Winter Haven has announced a new indoor roller coaster with a space theme for early 2026. This fully enclosed dark roller coaster is set to become the most technologically advanced attraction in the resort and is being developed in collaboration between Merlin Magic Making, the creative team of the British operator group Merlin Entertainments, and the LEGO Group. The ride promises an immersive mission for guests of all ages.

The Immersive Experience of the Attraction

The new attraction at the LEGOLAND Florida Resort will represent more than just a ride. “This attraction will be more than just a ride! It will include a fully immersive mission that begins the moment guests enter the building. From launch to landing, the result will be the most ambitious attraction at LEGOLAND Florida to date - built for explorers of all ages,” describes Blake Boyter, Senior Project Manager at Merlin Magic Making, the upcoming new family coaster, which is supplied by the German manufacturer ART Engineering.

The Space Storyline and the Launch Area

In the specially developed storyline, riders start from LEGOLAND SPACEPORT 885, named after the LEGO Space Scooter Set #885. They embark on a journey through an imaginatively designed LEGO galaxy. The queue area narratively prepares for the space theme before takeoff begins.

The Themed Area Around the Coaster

Around the space coaster, a thematically matching area is being created. This includes a shop named Orbital Outpost and a DUPLO play area for toddlers aged 1 to 4 years. The name of the ride and the exact opening date will be announced at a later time.

Similar Developments and Investments

An identical attraction is currently being built at the LEGOLAND California Resort as well. The total investment volume for both locations amounts to over 90 million US dollars, which is approximately 77.5 million euros. This represents the largest single investment within the parks to date.
