Plopsaland Deutschland: 100M Euro Investment Plan

The Plopsa Group is advancing the expansion of its site in Haßloch following the name change from Holiday Park to Plopsaland Deutschland. The aim is to transform the park into a leading premium family leisure resort in Europe. By 2028, more than 100 million euros will be invested to attract multi-day vacationers as new guest groups and to strengthen regional tourism networking.

Expansion to a Year-Round Destination

The focus is on developing it into a year-round and multi-day destination. The resort strategy emphasizes close integration of tourism offerings, including the creation of its own accommodation options and the expansion of the partner hotel program. A key milestone is the construction of Plopsaqua Haßloch, which acts as a booster. The groundbreaking will take place in autumn 2025, and by early 2028, a modern water park will emerge at an additional site in Haßloch. This complements the leisure offerings at Plopsaland Deutschland with weather-independent and year-round family experiences.

Cooperations and Special Packages

In addition to internal growth and new attractions as well as shows, the Plopsa Group plans to expand cooperations and combo packages. These include partnerships with tourism initiatives and other leisure offerings, such as in the surrounding vacation destination of Pfalz. Special attention is given to strengthening the tourism ecosystem, which also includes integrating the highly attractive gastronomy and wine industry.

Synergies Within the Plopsa Group

Through the global activities of Studio 100 and its seven other parks, the Plopsa Group, headquartered in De Panne, Belgium, offers a unique entertainment portfolio in the heart of Europe. The synergies of the Plopsa Group bring new guest groups to Rhineland-Palatinate. Bernd Beitz, Director Germany of the Plopsa Group, emphasizes that these synergies should be utilized more targeted. Examples include special offers for guests from the Benelux region and neighboring France, where Plopsa is regarded as a quality and market leader for leisure fun and multi-day packages.

Commitment to the German Market

The realignment of Plopsaland Deutschland counts among the most comprehensive and exciting transformation projects in the theme park industry. The clear commitment to the Haßloch site underscores the importance of the German leisure market as a growth factor.

Integration into the State Strategy

The resort strategy integrates closely with the tourism strategy of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Plopsaland Deutschland increasingly appeals to young and thus future-important visitor groups and promotes itself Europe-wide as an image factor for the region. Minister President Alexander Schweitzer said during an on-site visit: “Plopsaland Deutschland is a powerful engine for tourism and economy in Rhineland-Palatinate and beyond!”

Economic Impulses for the Region

The site benefits economically in multiple ways from the Plopsa Group's engagement. Bernd Beitz adds that the company acts as an economic driver, strengthening direct and indirect demand as well as purchasing power in the extended region. To grow further, additional jobs will be created, and in the expansion, they will continue to rely on regional companies and service providers as partners.
