The year 2014 was a significant one for the English amusement park, Thorpe Park. That year saw the inauguration of Angry Birds Land, an area entirely dedicated to the popular mobile game series "Angry Birds". Fans of the series could enjoy attractions such as the bumper cars "King Pig's Wild Hog Dodgems", the cinema "Angry Birds 4D", and the impressive 35-meter tall drop tower "Detonator: Bombs Away". However, like all good things, this chapter too must come to an end. Instead of renewing the contract with the Angry Birds' rights holders, Thorpe Park is charting a new course. The park's decision not to renew signals a clear direction: autonomy and innovation. All three primary attractions of the former Angry Birds area will be rethemed. However, details about the new themes are being kept under wraps for now.But that's not all. A spokesperson from the park revealed: "The departure of Angry Birds Land is making way for a brand new area, set to open its gates in 2024." Additionally, a new film that promises to captivate audiences will start screening in the park's 4D cinema from 2024. Further evidence of the park's commitment to innovation and a fresh approach is its decision not to collaborate with a major brand going forward. Instead, the themed area will be managed in-house, as disclosed in a social media announcement.
