Long before the first sunbeams pierce the mist, the Walt Disney Studios Park is already alive with activity. While most visitors are still dreaming, the Cast Members in Toy Story Playland and on Cars ROAD TRIP have been hard at work for hours – so your Pixar day becomes an unforgettable highlight.

In Andy’s garden, the first briefing takes place in the dark – the fixed start to every day at Disneyland Paris. Afterwards the Cast Members head into the still-empty park, accompanied by the catchy melodies from the Toy Story films, equipped with tablets, checklists and above all, great spirit.

At Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin, Lorane and Benoît prepare everything together with team leader Cédric. Every safety barrier and every vehicle – affectionately called “croquette” in Cast Member jargon – is meticulously checked. They are especially proud of the special accessible vehicle with a door and transfer system that allows guests with reduced mobility to enjoy the full Slinky Dog adventure.

When the Extra Magic Hours begin, the true heart of the job reveals itself. “It’s not just about pressing buttons,” says Lorane. “Human connection lies at the heart of our mission.”

On Cars ROAD TRIP, Lakhdar – tram driver since the park opened in 2002 and previously on the Studio Tram Tour – steers the vehicles with impressive precision along Route 66. Every positioning in the canyon scene must be exactly confirmed by ground sensors.

Flexibility defines the team: Cast Members like David and Anaïs switch between RC Racer and Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop as needed to lend a hand everywhere.

Especially touching are Lorane’s personal moments: the snowy morning when she voluntarily cleared snow from the RC Racer queue and deeply moved a guest, or the little boy she patiently convinced to ride Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop and who later gave her a beaming hug.

Technical perfection and genuine warmth – this exact mix makes the Cast Members so special. They are the ones who turn Toy Story Playland and Cars ROAD TRIP into a magical Pixar world every single day.
