Disneyland Paris welcomed 300 hospitalized children and adolescents, along with their families, for two days filled with joy, emotion, and magic at the heart of the Disney parks as part of the Pièces Jaunes 2026 campaign on January 13 and 14. Guests arriving from hospitals in the Paris region, Marseille, Lille, and Dieppe were accompanied throughout their stay by more than 100 dedicated Disney VoluntEARS and enjoyed a specially designed magical escape.
The young visitors experienced iconic shows, must-see attractions, and unforgettable encounters with Disney characters. Highlights included an exclusive performance of “The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands,” which concluded with a lively group photo capturing the children’s laughing faces, as well as a privileged visit inside Sleeping Beauty Castle. The experience concluded with a warm and festive gathering at Cowboy Cookout Barbecue.
Brigitte Macron, president of the Fondation des Hôpitaux, and Didier Deschamps, patron of the Pièces Jaunes campaign, met the families alongside Natacha Rafalski, president of Disneyland Paris. Artists including Jungeli, Jessy Matador, Les Petits Soleils, and Superbus enriched the event with special musical moments and surprises.
Natacha Rafalski highlighted the significance of the partnership: “Since the opening of Disneyland Paris 34 years ago, we have had the honor and privilege of being partners in this extraordinary initiative. Giving hospitalized children moments of joy, wonder, and respite lies at the core of our mission at Disneyland Paris and gives full meaning to our commitment to this campaign.”
Disneyland Paris has supported the Fondation des Hôpitaux for 34 years through the Pièces Jaunes campaign, whose mission continues to evolve to meet hospital needs. From January 7 to February 7, 2026, guests can support the campaign through a limited-edition collection featuring pins, Minnie ears, socks, and tote bags, with all proceeds benefiting the foundation. This is supplemented by coins tossed into park fountains and donations from Cast Members via Pièces Jaunes piggy banks in the backstage area.
On January 7, Disney characters and Disney VoluntEARS visited the hospital in Bayonne to bring joy to hospitalized children there. Since 1991, more than 40,000 hospitalized children have received visits from Disney characters and Disney VoluntEARS. Through these initiatives, Disneyland Paris remains committed to providing comfort, hope, and moments of happiness to the children and families who need them most.
