A life-size bull as a symbol of Europe now brings color and hope right to the doors of the Children’s and Youth Clinic at the University Medical Center Freiburg. Europa-Park created this special artwork together with Freiburg-born artist Peter Gaymann and over 100 children.
During Easter 2025, Peter Gaymann and numerous children painted the bull as part of a two-day art event at Europa-Park. Just in time for the Easter holiday, the sculpture has found its place in front of the clinic.
It is intended to serve as a sign of courage, strength and confidence for all children and families from different regions and cultures who come together with the hope of healing and finding new strength. The small artworks created on the sculpture at Europa-Park by Gaymann and the children provide young patients with moments of distraction and wonder and also give staff members and visitors an opportunity to pause. At the same time, the sculpture brings European values to life in a playful way right in front of the children’s clinic.
