Around 240 foster children and their families from Pforzheim and the Enz district spent an adventure-filled day full of joy at Europa-Park toward the end of the summer holidays. Germany's largest theme park, in collaboration with the Pforzheim jewelry company Rauschmayer, invited the foster families to this special experience. The tradition enabled the families to share many beautiful moments and gather lasting memories.
A Warm Welcome and Exciting Explorations
The day started with a special reception: Ed Euromaus personally greeted the families and posed for a group souvenir photo. Afterward, the children enthusiastically made their way through the park's 17 European-themed areas, while parents and foster parents enjoyed the shared time with the children. Over 100 attractions and shows provided plenty of fun and excitement. The day concluded with a shared pizza meal, which gave all participants the chance to exchange thoughts.
The Roots of a Long-Standing Initiative
The initiative, which Roland Rauschmayer launched 28 years ago, is continued today by his sons Rico and Chris. What began in 1997 with just three foster children has grown into an established tradition: Over 200 foster children and their families were able to experience joy and adventure this year. In cooperation with the youth welfare offices of Pforzheim and the Enz district, the families gathered these special moments.
Strong Social Commitment from Those Involved
Both the Rauschmayer family and the Mack operator family underscore their strong social commitment through this foster children's outing. In addition to this event, Europa-Park hosts the "Happy Hearts" initiative every year, inviting tens of thousands of socially disadvantaged people. The close bond between the Mack and Rauschmayer families is evident in their long-standing friendship and in joint discussions about future social projects.
