Rulantica Nordic Lights Festival 2026: Magical Lights and Spectacular Shows

From January 19 to March 27, 2026, Rulantica Water World will shine with a magical glow during the Nordic Lights Festival. Especially in the evening hours, the entire hall will transform into a sparkling sea of lights. Enchanting illuminations, spectacular shows, and captivating entertainment by Europa-Park artists will leave visitors amazed and dreaming. A special highlight will be the new evening show presented for the first time around the wave pool, where international artists and spectacular effects create unforgettable moments twice daily.

The path to the water world already sets the mood for guests. Illuminated trees and sparkling elements line the way, welcoming visitors with a warm glow. Inside, the Skog Lagoon indoor pool glows in Nordic green and blue tones. Snorri’s Saga is adorned with light chains and invites guests to a cozy ride through Rulantica in glowing tubes. The Surf Fjord wave pool is beautifully decorated, while flaming beacons surround the heated outdoor Frigg Temple pool. The Hyggedal sauna and wellness area shines in the light of numerous LED candles and pampers guests with special infusions for moments of pure relaxation. Exclusive comfort options greet visitors with atmospheric lighting, and in the luxurious Rulantica day suites, Nordic projections add to the unforgettable experience.

The entertainment program offers numerous dazzling highlights for the whole family. Every evening, the Vinterhala facade comes alive with the impressive video-mapping show “Magisk Retur.” The “Rulantica Magic Bubbles” show enchants with shimmering soap bubbles, while the marionette show “Marina Lumina”—especially popular with the youngest guests—weaves in the story of the lights festival. Children can also hunt for the magical glowing crystal or craft their own Snorri lantern, a perfect keepsake of the beloved Sixtopus to take home. In the evening hours, walking acts in glowing costumes roam through the hall.

The absolute highlight of the Nordic Lights Festival 2026 is “NORDLYS – Polar Illumination.” In the evening, the Surf Fjord wave pool becomes a stage for spectacular light installations, breathtaking effects, and aerial acrobatics high above the water.

Additional special events take place during the festival. On Saturday, February 7, 2026, Rulantica stays open until midnight, turning the night into a spectacular water, show, and party experience. The Rulantica Lights Night, presented by HITRADIO OHR, offers more than 14 hours of water fun—including hot DJ beats at Frigg Temple and Skip Strand deep into the night. On Valentine’s Day, February 14, special infusions and further surprises entice visitors. From February 21 to March 1, Hyggedal focuses entirely on the Scandinavian Sauna Week, with numerous additional infusions and a varied pampering program.

Rulantica’s dining options also radiate Nordic flair. Glowing columns sparkle in Snekkja Vinterhage, while the Kelpie Café draws the eye in the lobby with illuminated fishing nets. The Lumålunda restaurant serves salmon pizza and Nordic-inspired salad creations; Snekkja offers mushroom poutine and fish and chips. In the swim-up bars indoors and outdoors, glowing ice cubes in the cocktails create atmospheric moments of enjoyment.

From January to March 2026, visitors benefit from the Rulantica off-season special, saving at least 15 percent on tickets for selected dates.
