Big news for all families and Disney fans: McDonald’s has today opened its completely new restaurant in Disney Village® at Disneyland Paris. After 27 years, the popular location has received an impressive facelift and now shines as an ultra-modern, three-story building – specially designed for families and perfectly integrated into the Disney magic.
With an investment of over 20 million euros and more than five years of intensive planning and construction, something truly special has been created here. The restaurant offers 600 seats across three floors, including 200 on inviting outdoor terraces, a panoramic elevator for easy access, 23 self-service kiosks and state-of-the-art logistics with a dual kitchen and five dumbwaiters that guarantee previously unmatched service speed. 210 multilingual staff speaking 16 languages welcome international guests with warm hospitality.
For families, this new McDonald’s is a real dream: The little ones can let off steam in a spectacular three-story indoor play area that seamlessly continues the Disney magic. Parents meanwhile enjoy a spacious, bright reception area, personalized service by multilingual staff, a stylish McCafé or order conveniently via QR code at the table and are served via geolocation – everything fresh and made to order.
“Today we are reaching a new milestone that showcases all our expertise in France,” says Jo Sempels, President and CEO of McDonald’s France. “Our 220 employees can’t wait to create unforgettable memories for families and visitors from all over the world in this world of pure enjoyment. A big thank you to the Disney Village® teams for this unique collaboration.”
Boris Solbach, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Disneyland Paris, is equally enthusiastic: “Since 1999 we have shared a relationship based on trust and a common vision of the guest experience. This landmark project fully supports the transformation of Disney Village® and sustainably enriches the experience for all generations.”
The new restaurant also sets strong standards in sustainability and regionality. 75 percent of the raw materials come from French producers. The building is designed as a “Positive Energy & Carbon Reduction” building, aims for BREEAM Excellent certification, complies with RE2020 regulations and features 250 m² of solar panels, 350 m² of green space and a 120 m² living wall that promotes biodiversity and pollination. With 50 new permanent positions, it also makes an important contribution to the local economy.
For anyone looking for a relaxed break after an action-packed day in the Disney Parks, this McDonald’s will immediately become the perfect, magical meeting point – modern comfort, Disney magic and family-friendliness all in one place.
