This coming Saturday, June 8, 2024, the Efteling theme park will open its gates an hour earlier than usual, at 9:00 AM, due to a special event taking place later that evening.
Earlier Opening, Early Closure
On Saturday, Efteling visitors will have the opportunity to enter the park one hour earlier. This adjustment is to compensate for all attractions and dining facilities closing at 6:00 PM. Normally, guests can enjoy the attractions until the park's closing time, but this will not be possible on Saturday due to the upcoming event.Efteling's official website notes, “Please bear in mind that queues close earlier as a result and that it is not possible to book a restaurant after closing time.” For example, the entrance to an attraction with a one-hour wait time will close at 5:00 PM.
Exclusive Evening Event by TriNed
The reason for these unusual opening hours is the rental of the park to the internet provider TriNed. The park will be used for an exclusive event celebrating TriNed's 25th anniversary from 8:00 PM to midnight.TriNed customers had the opportunity to purchase up to six tickets at a price of €17.50 per person. The price includes an €8 credit for dining and souvenir shops, as well as free parking. Tickets for this special evening have already sold out.
These adjustments to the opening hours are part of Efteling's efforts to optimize the regular park operations for day guests while also facilitating exclusive events for external partners.
