Many people took to the trails at Europa-Park on Sunday for a good cause. The 15th edition of “einfach laufen für einfach helfen” (Simply Walk for Simply Help) was a complete success and celebrated a special premiere. For the first time, the popular charity walk started in the new Silver Lake City at Europa-Park.
Mayor Dr. Kai-Achim Klare, together with association chairwoman Mauritia Mack, Alexander Schindler, head of the nature center, and Europa-Park owner Jürgen Mack, cut the starting ribbon. Dr. Klare praised the work of the “einfach helfen” association, which provides quick and uncomplicated help to people in need. He thanked the nature center team and association members for their dedication and gave special thanks to Europa-Park for not only supporting the event but also providing the impressive Western setting of Silver Lake City.
During the walk, a lively atmosphere filled the area around the lake in Silver Lake City. The association’s volunteers were busy at the refreshment stations, serving coffee and homemade cake to the participants.
Founded in summer 2008, the “einfach helfen” association has helped numerous people in the Ortenau region who have fallen into financial hardship due to serious illness. Quick and unbureaucratic assistance is a top priority for the organization. To be able to help as many affected people as possible, it relies on donations.
