Spooky Halloween at Europa-Park: 180,000 Pumpkins Await

Germany's largest theme park, Europa-Park Resort, will transform into a spooky yet enchanting Halloween paradise from September 27 to November 2, 2025. Witches and ghosts will invite visitors to a unique spectacle featuring extraordinary decorations, autumnal cuisine, and breathtaking shows. Germany's largest Halloween spectacle will offer thrills and magic for the whole family, transporting guests into a world of frights and enchantment.

Autumn Decorations and Atmosphere

For more than 25 years, dark figures have roamed Europa-Park during the fall season, surrounded by 180,000 regional pumpkins, 15,000 chrysanthemums, 6,000 corn plants, 3,000 straw bales, and more than 100,000 autumn flowers. Thick spider webs and mystical music complete the Halloween atmosphere.

Attractions and Ride Fun

In the 17 European-themed areas, visitors will enjoy autumn ride fun, with inattentive guests getting spooked in true ghostly fashion. The new Croatia-themed area will feature the Multi Launch Coaster "Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac," which winds through an authentic Croatian landscape with numerous innovative ride elements—including seven inversions. The new attraction "GRAND PRIX EDventure" will allow the whole family to embark on an interactive 3D adventure with the mascots Ed and Edda. During Halloween, the spinning ride "Koffiekopjes" will be enhanced with lightning and spooky music to become "Griezelkopjes," turning the ride into a particularly eerie experience. Spooky decorations will transform the Spanish carousel "Feria Swing" into the fearsome "Flight of the Vampires." At "Castello dei Medici," guests will ride gondolas through the ghost castle year-round, encountering ghostly voices and eerie figures everywhere. Daring adventurers will experience terrifying performers lurking in the shadows at the daytime maze next to "WODAN – Timburcoaster," ready to send shivers down visitors' spines. For little ghosts, the Halloween village in the French-themed area will open with frightfully delightful surprises that will make young hearts beat faster. The new short film "DINO MATES 4D" at "Magic Cinema 4D" will combine adventure and humor for all ages, inspired by "Madame Freudenreich Curiosités" and children's books about an Alsatian grandmother who secretly raises dinosaurs.

Culinary Highlights

After action-packed fun or scares, hungry guests will find seasonal treats like dishes with pumpkin and other autumnal foods, as well as typical Oktoberfest specialties. The popular pumpkin figure exhibition in front of the "Historic Balthasar Castle" will be a visual delight.

Show Program

The spooky yet enchanting show program will include the elaborately staged ice show "Supr'ice presents The Vampire Circus on Ice," the spectacular "Ed’s Halloween Parade," and further captivating performances by eerie creatures such as dancing skeletons, mysterious witches, and other dark figures, providing top entertainment and goosebumps several times a day.

SPOOK ME! Musical

Following the overwhelming success of the Europa-Park musical "SPOOK ME!" and the equally great success of its sequel last year, the park will incorporate both parts into the daily program for free during its anniversary season. Daily at the "Europa-Park Teatro," guests will experience the magical story revolving around the ghost castle, Prince Tao, Lilly, King Borbar, and the sinister fairy Isperia—mysterious, emotional, and captivating. On selected dates, "SPOOK ME! 2 – Musical & Dinner" will be available, where performers will accompany guests after the performance of the second part to the "Historic Balthasar Castle" for an autumnal dinner with live music. On October 19, the exclusive special "SPOOK ME! 1 & 2 – Musicals & Taste" will take place, featuring a reception, both performances, and various tasting stations.

Virtual Reality Experience

From September 20, the new virtual reality experience "SPOOK ME!" will be available at the "blue fire Dome," a "YULLBE GO" experience offering exciting adventures for the family.

Traumatica – Festival of Fear

After dark, the horror event "Traumatica – Festival of Fear" will open for the brave, a multiple award-winning fright spectacle that will bring sweat to the brows of even the most fearless visitors. Seven horror attractions and more than 150 terrifying performers and artists will once again create nightmares. The scare attractions will be complemented by the rides "Pegasus – The YoungStar Coaster," "Matterhorn-Blitz," and "Curse of Cassandra" as VR spectacles. "Traumatica" will run Fridays through Sundays from September 26 to November 8, 2025, except on September 28, with additional dates on October 23, October 30, and November 6. The preview premiere will be on September 24, and tickets will be available for advance purchase online. Every Friday and Saturday, the exclusive mystery experience "Eden Manor" will enhance the lineup with immersive avant-garde theater, theatrical and interactive elements, as well as acrobatic, sensual choreographies in a private and exclusive atmosphere that surprises with an impressive mix. Additionally, the VIP experience "Fear Inc." and the club location "The Forbidden" will be available.

Halloween Party

Night ghosts and vampires beware: On October 31, Europa-Park will host Germany's largest Halloween party from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the "Confertainment Center," with groovy live music, top SWR3 DJs, fruity cocktails, refreshing long drinks, and tasty snacks.

Water World Rulantica

The water world "Rulantica" will also show its spooky side and offer the perfect escape from gloomy autumn days. It will feature Halloween surprises and fun decorations like a huge skeleton, pumpkins, corn stalks, and straw bales in the outdoor area. Children will enjoy frightfully delightful animations, while evenings will heat up with "Rulantica Vibes" at the swim-up bar in the "Frigg Temple" featuring DJ beats. Autumnal treats will provide refreshment for guests. In "Rulantica," slides, pools, and other attractions will await water lovers, including "Vikingløp" as Europe's largest speed slide with eight tubes totaling more than 1,500 meters in length for mat races. In the outdoor area, things will get exciting in the raging river "Vildstrøm," where water fun is guaranteed, and new this year is the heated "Svømmepøl" with a large water surface and numerous Nordic-mystical details.

Relaxation at Hyggedal

After the sliding fun, guests will relax in the sauna area "Hyggedal" spanning more than 1,000 square meters with varied infusions and an extensive pampering program. Three saunas and the textile-free steam bath "Damp Huset" will offer a wonderful wellness experience on cool autumn days, supplemented by optionally bookable day suites for particularly autumnal moments.

Culinary World Novelty Eatrenalin

Guests will experience an exciting journey for the senses at the innovative culinary attraction "Eatrenalin." The fine dining restaurant will captivate with its interplay of high-quality gourmet cuisine and visual, acoustic, and haptic experiences. The heart of "Eatrenalin" is the "Floating Chair" from MACK Rides, an innovative ride system that lets guests float through different worlds of indulgence. Additionally, on selected dates, "Eatrenalin Late Night" will be offered: a 90-minute multisensory journey through fascinating cocktail worlds, accompanied by first-class live acts to delight all senses, followed by an unforgettable night of celebration with DJ beats in the bar.

Accommodations in the Resort

After an eventful day, the six park-owned, autumnally decorated hotels will offer a place to relax. The 4-star (superior) adventure hotels are themed around worlds from Scandinavian landscapes through the deep South to young America, where visitors can enjoy dreamy hours. They will be complemented by the adventurous "Silver Lake City Western Houses," camping, caravanning, and numerous leisure options.

HALLOWinter

Gingerbread or pumpkin soup? Colorful autumn leaves or rather Christmas ornaments on the tree? At HALLOWinter in Europa-Park, there's only one answer to this question: Both! Because between the Halloween season and the arrival of Christmas sparkle, the park will turn upside down and thrill with a mix of the best that both seasons have to offer. From November 3 to November 28, 2025, visitors can immerse themselves in this autumnal winter wonderland before the winter season starts on November 29.
