Heide Park Resort Opens for the 2026 Season on March 28 – Colossos Turns 25

The wait is almost over! On March 28, 2026, Heide Park Resort will officially open its gates for the new season. Northern Germany’s largest theme park adventure welcomes guests of all ages once again with over 30 attractions and shows – and celebrates a very special milestone: the legendary wooden coaster Colossos, Europe’s tallest and fastest of its kind, turns 25.

Preparations are in full swing right now. The rides are being polished to a shine, and the new trains of the Big Loop looping coaster in cool 80s retro design are successfully completing their test runs. “The anticipation for the new season is huge – both among our guests and our team. We are working at full speed to prepare everything for a perfect start. In addition to the ride fun and our shows and events, the Colossos anniversary will be a very special highlight. We can hardly wait to celebrate this special milestone together with big and small Colossos fans, as well as all our partners and friends,” says Peter Dunn, Divisional Director of Heide Park Resort.

As early as March 22, 2026, particularly impatient fans can head to the park for the special “Vorfreude-Sonntag” – two days before the official opening. The Abenteuerhotel and Holiday Camp will also kick off the new season on March 28.

Heide Park Resort has lined up a varied entertainment program for 2026. The show ensemble will present different productions on a daily rotating basis, while events like the Pirate Festival, Pyro Games, Late Rides and Halloween add even more excitement. Details on the individual events will be released gradually.

But the absolute highlight of the season is the 25th anniversary of Colossos. Specific actions and celebrations will be announced later – but one thing is for sure: It will be an unforgettable anniversary season for all fans of this cult coaster.
