LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort Brings Peppa Pig and LEGO Gifts on Childhood Cancer Day

On International Childhood Cancer Day, February 15, 2026, LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort will bring exactly what children fighting cancer need most: a few carefree moments filled with laughter and creativity. Peppa Pig and LEGOLAND Boy will visit the Swabian Childhood Cancer Center in Augsburg, bringing numerous LEGO and DUPLO sets – every child will receive their own building kit, and the playroom will get a fresh supply of bricks.

Sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference: a photo with favorite characters, the click of LEGO bricks on the table, the moment imagination takes over. This is precisely what the family resort in Günzburg wants to give the children and their families who otherwise face an extremely demanding daily routine.

“We accompany children and their families at the Swabian Childhood Cancer Center, often over a long period – medically, nursing-wise, and psychosocially. The illness makes everyday life enormously stressful for patients and parents. That’s why initiatives that bring joy and variety are so valuable,” says Dipl.-Psychologin Sonja Ickinger, head of the psychosocial service. “Moments of genuine joy give children new strength and confidence that last a long time. Laughter and fun are not just a nice change – they are part of the therapy.”

Manuela Stone, Managing Director of LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort, adds: “Every child deserves carefree moments full of joy. That is our deep conviction and mission at LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort. If children cannot come to LEGOLAND right now, we bring a piece of LEGOLAND to them.” International Childhood Cancer Day is more than just a date for the team – it is a matter close to their hearts. “We want to show children and young people: You are seen. You are allowed to be a child, even when you are fighting.”

The initiative is supported by the resort’s own charity, Merlin’s Magic Wand, which creates special experiences for seriously ill and disadvantaged people throughout the year – for example, through the ASB Last Wish Ambulance or the annual Fun Festival, where charitable organizations are invited to the resort free of charge. This allows thousands of affected individuals to enjoy an unforgettable day at LEGOLAND Deutschland every year.

With this campaign, the resort once again demonstrates what it stands for: joy, creativity, and solidarity – values that extend far beyond the park’s boundaries.
