PortAventura World Unveils Coral Bay and Makamanu Jungle for 2026

PortAventura World presented two new family-oriented attractions at FITUR 2026: “Coral Bay, The Lost Legend” in PortAventura Caribe Aquatic Park and “Makamanu Jungle, The Adventure Trek” in PortAventura Park. Both experiences will expand the resort’s offerings and open to the public in summer 2026.

“Coral Bay, The Lost Legend” is a 6,000-square-meter family area that immerses visitors in a pirate bay which, according to legend, lay submerged for centuries before rising again from the ocean depths. The area includes a family water coaster unique in Europe, an adventure pool with a world-exclusive water obstacle course, new water slides, and an expanded dining selection. This expansion reinforces PortAventura Caribe Aquatic Park’s position as one of Europe’s leading family water parks.

“Makamanu Jungle, The Adventure Trek” is a new adventure trail in the Polynesia area of PortAventura Park that invites guests to venture into the wild heart of the jungle. The outdoor exploration experience features secret paths, suspension bridges, and various challenges integrated into the natural surroundings to awaken the spirit of discovery in children and their companions. It revives the original essence of the area while reinterpreting it through a more active perspective. The name “Makamanu,” drawn from Polynesian mythology and associated with the “bird's-eye view,” emphasizes the adventurous, jungle-themed character of the experience and connects guests with their surroundings and the thrill of exploration.
