Disneyland Paris: 'Tangled' 15th Anniversary Features New Raiponce Tangled Spin

Disneyland Paris is honoring the 15th anniversary of Disney's "Tangled" with a new attraction called Raiponce Tangled Spin. The film, which premiered in France on Dec. 1, 2010, marks its milestone with a family-friendly ride set to open on March 29, 2026. Guests can anticipate a lantern-lit adventure inspired by the movie's magical scenes.

The Disney animated film "Tangled," directed by Byron Howard and Nathan Greno, represented a significant return in 2010 to adventures drawn from European fairy tales and has sustained strong success for 15 years. The movie's iconic heroine, Rapunzel—with her famously long hair—is now celebrated at Disneyland Paris through an attraction that brings the story's enchantment to life in motion. Raiponce Tangled Spin offers an experience suitable for all ages and integrates seamlessly into the park.

In the attraction, guests will glide gently in gondolas beneath a sky filled with glowing lanterns, recreating the film's famous lantern sequence. Visitors can spin softly as new orchestrations of the hits "I See the Light" and "Kingdom Dance" enhance the atmosphere. The music syncs seamlessly with the rotating ride, infusing it with romance and adventure.

Andy Martin, the attraction's creative director, described the musical adaptation: "In the film, the melody of 'I See the Light' is more of a romantic ballad, so we reinterpreted it for the attraction to give it a livelier rhythm, like a waltz, so our guests can whirl." This approach ensures the ride engages visitors visually and acoustically, vividly evoking the film's spirit.

Raiponce Tangled Spin features charming details sure to delight fans. A striking ceiling fresco—seemingly painted by Rapunzel herself—dominates the space and depicts her adventures. In the queue area, her art supplies are displayed, providing glimpses into her creative world. Atop the roof is a playful weather vane shaped like Pascal, her loyal chameleon companion, adding whimsical oversight to the scene.

A standout element is the involvement of Mandy Moore, Rapunzel's original voice actress. She reprised the role exclusively for Disneyland Paris, recording the welcome messages and safety instructions to lend authenticity to the experience. This touch deepens the ride's immersion, making guests feel as though they are interacting directly with the heroine.

Opening on March 29, 2026, in Disney Adventure World, Raiponce Tangled Spin will enhance the park's offerings. It fits harmoniously into the romantic, foliage-draped landscape of Adventure Way, inviting visitors to a lantern festival that captures the film's fairy-tale charm.
