The Europa-Park Resort will don a magical winter cloak starting Nov. 29, 2025, opening its gates until Jan. 18, 2026—except Dec. 24 and 25. The 17 European-themed areas will transform into a winter wonderland featuring more than 3,500 snow-dusted fir trees, 10,000 Christmas ornaments, 1,500 decorative gifts and ribbons, 1,000 Christmas stars, and an 18-meter-tall Christmas pyramid in the Iceland-themed area. Majestic Christmas trees will adorn the German Avenue, the England-themed area, and Luxembourg Square. Visitors will experience magical winter moments through Christmas shows, the new Winterland-themed area, and family-friendly attractions—all as part of the anniversary year.
Right after entering, the romantic German Avenue will enchant guests with a magnificently decorated Christmas tree full of shimmering ornaments, the scent of roasted almonds, and Christmas music. In the Portugal-themed area, the imposing Ferris wheel "Bellevue" will offer a breathtaking view over the winter-decorated park from 55 meters in height. The 42 heated gondolas will provide relaxed moments for up to 242 people; they are wheelchair-accessible and energy-efficient, using stored braking energy for lighting and heating. Thrills await on the roller coaster "Voltron Nevera Powered by Rimac" in the Croatia-themed area, where riders will whirl through the landscape at up to 100 km/h with seven loops. Indoor attractions like the new interactive 3D dark ride "GRAND PRIX EDventure" and the flying theater "Voletarium" will offer perfect warm-up breaks.
The atmospheric Winterland-themed area, newly created for the anniversary year, will add special highlights to the sparkling staging. A top act will be the "Winter Circus Revue: Monte Carlo Circus Festival Meets Europa-Park" in an enlarged circus tent with LED flooring and a new portal. Award-winning artists from Monaco—including Just Two Men with endurance performances, dog trainer Wolfgang Lauenburger, Troupe Bingo in the opening, comedian Cesar Dias, the Mustache Brothers in classic comedy, and Troupe Demian with acrobatics—will captivate audiences in a show lasting more than an hour. The Mustache Brothers and Troupe Demian will also perform at the Monte Carlo Circus Festival in the coming years. Moderator Wolf Fischer will guide through the program. Ahead of the new Monaco-themed area in 2026, guests can look forward to this special collaboration. Urs Pilz, president of the Monte Carlo Festival—founded in 1974 by Prince Rainier III—emphasizes the world-class artists and the support from the princely family, including Princess Stéphanie's patronage, which continues her father's legacy as she regularly sits in the front row, as close to the ring as the audience itself. This idea has grown into a global event where the "Golden Clown" serves as the highest award in the circus world, and recipients make circus history. The Grimaldi family's bond with the circus is deep and personal, and Europa-Park's partnership with this legendary festival is thanks in part to Roland Mack, who received the title "Ambassadeur du Cirque" in January 2025. Urs Pilz explains: "The Mack family has never seen the circus as mere entertainment but as an emotional cultural form. Whether in opulent dinner shows, open-air events, or on the park's stages—the circus lives at Europa-Park. Through the TALENT ACADEMY, the Mack family also promotes young artists and gives them space to develop."
In the "Ice Sculpture Dome: Journey Back to 1975"—presented by the Magnum Ice Cream Company—80 tons of ice and 28 tons of snow will be sculpted into more than 25 figures depicting attractions from the park's opening year, with the tallest sculpture standing five meters tall across six scenes. The "WinterWunderWelt" will invite young visitors to let off steam with 18 indoor games, complemented by a new children's carousel outside. The "Winterland Bar" will serve winter delicacies alongside impressive exhibits, and the "Circus Snack" will offer new dining options.
The new 4D short film "GRAND PRIX 4D" will premiere in the Magic Cinema 4D, based on the feature film "GRAND PRIX OF EUROPE." In it, Edda's dream of becoming a race car driver comes true: Together with her idol Ed, she experiences an adventure full of speed, courage, and friendship. Vibrating seats, gusts of wind, spectacular sound effects, and surprises will immerse young and old in the cockpit. Additional films in the daily program will include "DINO MATES 4D."
Children's highlights await in the "Alpin x Children's Ski School" in the Austria-themed area, where trained ski instructors will support first attempts on skis or fast tobogganing in snow tubes. In the Scandinavia-themed area, the park will partner with the German Ski Association and Ski School Thoma for "Skitty World Nordic," a cross-country skiing world for children and youth. A large ice skating rink next to "Fjord Rafting" will invite gliding. The lovingly decorated "Post Office Himmelspforte" in the England-themed area will lead from the nativity scene to the gift factory, where Santa Claus will note wishes and hand out small surprises. On Dec. 20, the iconic Coca-Cola Christmas truck will make a stop with special activities. The nativity exhibition in the Norwegian stave church and the Nordic winter village will round out the offerings.
Christmas shows will promise impressive entertainment: The ice show "Surpr' Ice Presents a Christmas Dream" in the Greece-themed ice stadium will enchant with grace and acrobatics from international ice skaters. The horse show "The Legend of Zorro" in the Spanish Arena will provide excitement. On Europa Lake in the Austria-themed area, "Firework of Memories" will come alive with sparkling water fountains and fireworks. Starting at 5 p.m., the "Miraculeaux: Mapping Show" will dazzle every half hour on the facade of the "Eurosat: CanCan Coaster" with a play of light and color. The evening "Ed's Starlight Parade" with illuminated parade floats will wind through the park. Additional performances will include the puppet show "Christmas with the Dinosaurs" in Limerick Castle, "Happy Merry Christmas!" in the Globe Theater, as well as "JUNIOR CLUB Studios Live! – Oguz' and Ed's Magic World" and "Happy Birthday, JUNIOR CLUB" in the studios.
Culinary highlights will unfold at the expansive Christmas market around the Europa Fountain and in the Historic Balthasar Castle Park, where visitors can stroll, sample delicacies, and marvel at extraordinary floral installations. The quaint Christkindl market in "Ireland: World of Children" will transport guests back to bygone times with traditional handicrafts. Stands and restaurants will offer hot mulled wine and punch, winter crêpe variations, freshly baked Baumstriezel, and hearty venison goulash. In the French pavilion, it will turn into a cozy bakery where guests can decorate gingerbread hearts under the guidance of Kambly confectioners. The "ERDINGER Hütt'n" in the Portugal-themed area will return with hearty treats, on select evenings with live music and a three-course menu. In the "Ice Bar" in the Spain-themed area, drinks will warm guests up.
The year-round water world Rulantica will offer action-packed fun with numerous slides, a massive wave pool, and a water playground. Europe's largest speed slide, "Vikingløp," will tempt riders with racing slides, and the new "Svømmepøl"—with spraying geysers, a mystical grotto, and volcanic rock—will promise a Nordic bathing experience. Relaxation will be found in the exclusive sauna and wellness area "Hyggedal." The world's most exciting gastronomy concept, "Eatrenalin," will send guests on a more than two-hour journey through sensory worlds for a multisensory fine-dining experience with a new menu.
Since Nov. 21, 2025, the 25th anniversary edition of the Europa-Park dinner show "Welcome to Illusion" will captivate in the baroque Europa-Park Teatro until Feb. 28, 2026. Nearly four hours will blend artistry, live music, dance, and comedy from 28 international artists. Stéphane Bulcourt and Sebastian Rosenbaum will moderate with wit and chaos. Highlights will include Just Two Men in partner acrobatics, illusions by Solange Kardinaly and Arkadio, a pole performance by Artem Lyubanevych, balance acts by Ivan Peres, rope acrobatics by Haribow, and Skating Flash. The show ballet and music from Diana Recalde and the Hockridge Brothers will frame it all. The exclusive four-course menu by two-star chef Peter Hagen-Wiest will start with warm salmon with kaffir lime, shiso vinaigrette, and radish; followed by Hokkaido pumpkin with Kashmir curry and shiitake; tender veal shoulder with radicchio risotto, pine nuts, and Fourme d'Ambert; and a chocolate-banana-pandan dessert. Vegetarian option: daikon radish with rice and miso, the same pumpkin, radicchio risotto with guinea fowl and the characteristic Fourme d'Ambert. Beverage packages with wines from Weingut Isele, beer, soft drinks, or alcohol-free options will complement the meal.
After unforgettable hours, the six park-owned four-star-superior hotels and the rustic, winter-decorated Silver Lake City will invite guests to wind down. In themed worlds like "Krønasår"—with a hygge atmosphere and 160 m² infinity pool—"Colosseo" with Mediterranean flair, "Bell Rock" with an explorer ambiance, or "Santa Isabel" as a monastic retreat (open Fridays through Sundays from January to March), guests will find recovery. The 3,400 m² wellness and spa areas will offer themed pools, saunas, hot stone massages, peelings, pampering baths, and fitness in the "New England" area or club classes. Western fans will dream in heated houses, log cabins, or wagons at Silver Lake City.
The perfect start to the new year will be offered from Jan. 19 to March 27, 2026, at the hotels "Colosseo," "Bell Rock," "Krønasår," and "Santa Isabel," with exclusive packages for relaxation and indulgence. A "Winter Cuddle Day" will begin with a lavish breakfast and treatments like face masks or back massages. Rulantica will shine in the Nordic Light Festival as a sparkling sea of lights with illuminations, shows, and entertainment—the highlight being a new evening show at the wave pool with international artists and effects, twice daily. The sauna oasis above "Lumålunda" will span 1,000 m² with three saunas, infusions, a steam bath, and terraces, while the "KOTA Sauna Chalet"—with wheat beer—will invite guests. The "Hygge Sauna Bar" will offer exclusive dining. Comfort suites like "Nørd," "Øst," "Sør," "Vest," "Sørvind," and "Vestavind"—with sauna, lounge, and loggia—will provide exclusivity. In the "Tønnevirvel" water carousel, nine round boats will sway, and the outdoor pool "Svømmepøl" will lead via a glass corridor to the covered "Svømme Bar."
