Thrilled fans of Walibi Holland, take note: The popular amusement park in the Netherlands is shifting its complete focus in the coming years to the summer season running from April through October. Instead of winter events like Bright Nights, the park is introducing extended opening hours on selected Saturdays – fantastic news for families craving more time for unforgettable days packed with thrills and shared memories. Why this smart realignment and what exactly is changing?
The decision stems from a thorough evaluation examining which offerings best suit both guests and the park’s seasonal character. The winter event Bright Nights will no longer continue – last year’s edition was the final one. Walibi Holland is proud of what was achieved, yet the limited opening period during the Christmas holidays and heavy reliance on unpredictable winter weather made it difficult to consistently deliver the desired quality and excitement.
General Manager Mascha Taminiau puts it perfectly: “Walibi is first and foremost a seasonal operation. During the summer months we can offer our guests the most beautiful and complete experience. That’s where we want to focus entirely.”
To reinforce this clear summer focus, the park is launching the new Summer Saturdays. On selected Saturdays throughout the summer, Walibi Holland stays open extra late until 10 PM. The offering is specially tailored to families with children and provides more time to enjoy the attractions and soak up those long, sunny days together.
Additionally, the Halloween calendar is being restructured: Going forward there will be a clear separation between Halloween Spooky Days and Halloween Fright Nights – no mixed days. This allows both concepts to be positioned more strongly for their respective target audiences. For Fright Nights visitors, the park is also developing an extra afternoon activity, with more details to be announced later.
With these strategic moves, Walibi Holland is further strengthening the quality of the guest experience and securing a future-proof position as a top amusement park for summer adventures.
