Jana Schimke Visits Europa-Park Erlebnis-Resort: New DEHOGA CEO Exchanges Ideas with the Mack Family

On the invitation of the Mack family, Jana Schimke, the new chief executive of the DEHOGA federal association, visited the Europa-Park Erlebnis-Resort in Rust for the first time. She was welcomed by Thomas and Frederik Mack at the 4-star superior Bell Rock hotel for a personal introduction. The focus was on the exchange about tourism, hospitality and gastronomy, followed by a guided tour of the resort that gave her a closer look at what it has to offer.

Thomas Mack, managing partner of Europa-Park and responsible for the entire operational business, commented enthusiastically on the visit: “We warmly welcome Jana Schimke to the Europa-Park Erlebnis-Resort. For the Europa-Park Erlebnis-Resort, DEHOGA serves as an important partner as the strong voice of the hospitality industry. With seven hotels and around 90 country-typical restaurants, snack outlets and cafés in the park and hotel gastronomy, the resort ranks among the most significant hotel and gastronomy locations in Europe. It is also regarded as the highest-turnover gastronomy operator in Germany at a single location and the largest contiguous hotel resort in Germany with 8,000 beds.

Jana Schimke assumed the chief executive role at the German Hotel and Restaurant Association on January 1, 2026. She succeeds Ingrid Hartges, who shaped the association significantly over many years.
